i have very thick, wavy (more like curly) blonde hair. i bought a straightener, and i use the entire "dangerously straight" line from herbal essences. nothing works! my hair is always poofy! help!!!
Hating Hair.?
It really depends on the straightener you're using. I know there are typical, cheap, run of the mill straighteners that don't work worth a darn, then there are ceramic straighteners that really work.
They're expensive, but definitely worth it if you're looking for a nice, sleek do that wont frizz out in an hour.
The ones that get up to super hot temperatures work well, too. Also, Herbal Essences is kind of a joke. I wouldn't rely on them for anything more than a scent.
TGI Bead Head brand works amazing, so does a lot of the Got2Be line. I've actually found a gem in the VO5 redline. Their miracle mist is simply that; a miracle!
You can also try having your stylist thin your hair out. It's what I have done. It's pretty simple and works like a charm. They'll just use a sharp hair razor and run it down the folicle of your hair thinning out the strands. I usually have it done whenever I get a cut.
Also, and I can't stress this enough, BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR FIRST. When styling your hair, allow it to air dry about 85% of the way, then spray it with some form of heat treatment to protect it from the styling tools and then add your straightening or anti-frizz balm. Give it a good blow dry, brushing it straight down (for extra volume, blow dry with your head upside down.)
Once it's dry, comb it out then straighten. You also have to leave the iron on your hair sections long enough to make a difference.
Anyway, I hope this helped some. Good luck! =)

Well I think you better go to a salon and have a treatment if you like it to be straight or you can blow dry your hair until it looks straight and use straighener get only few strands of your hair it takes a lot of time but it really works.

You can go to the beauty salon and get it thinned out a bit. and then put the straightener on it.

I think something is wrong with the straightner you use. I have the exact same type of hair and i use the same products (they work amazingly and smell fantastic!) But sometimes the type of straightner you use makes your hair poofy. Buy a really good one cause its a great investment and won't damage your hair as much as other ones. I use the Chi Turbo its amazing!

If its a cheap hair straightener get rid of it and get a better one (like a GHD, although theyre a little pricey but really worth it). Use a heat protectent with it, and spray a little hairspray afterwards so your hair won't fluff up (don't use excessive hairspray or use hairspray before you straighten it as that damages the hair heaps). If you want really straight hair, blow dry it first with the nozzle pointing downwards and finish off by straightening it and hairspray. Going to bed with your hair wet will make your hair dry more into curls then frizzy waves, and the curls can be easier to straighten. If you are going to regularly straighten your hair use a protein treatment on your hair at least once a week. Good luck!

get a pair of GHD straighteners and use professional hair straighening products from the salon, sometimes blow drying before straightening can help.
i own a pair of GHDs and they dont only straighten they are curl and they actually smooth and flatten my hair.

After you wash your hair dry it a little bit with a towel, put some hair foam on it and make your hair style that you like, don't straighten it. Wear it curly, boys like it that way.
