In the morning when i straighten my hair it is really straight then later on it the day it is really wavy. Do you have any suggestions on how to get it to stay straight?

honey! don't think about the straightener, think about hair products

get something like, beyond the zone straight shot.. it can be bought at sally's for about $7

try to look for products with silicone in them, or something that will keep the style, the product i recommended works great

i would also get a new straightener too, the best straightener for about $40 is the conair infiniti i think, i have it and love it!

unfortunetly there really arent good, quality straighteners in that price range...

i strongly suggest investing in a chi brand straightener, its a really good investment and totally worth the price ($100 range) i have one and it keeps my hair straight all day

otherwise they sell sprays that you put in before you straighten your hair that will keep moisture out. thats why it becomes wavy again. bed head brand usually is pretty good

well its not in your price range but maybe you can get it as a gift for something. maxiglide is the best. i have suffered with this same problem for years. not only will your hair stay straight but it only takes minutes compared to the others. price range about 80-100 bucks. but i have had mine a couple of years now. great investment. i sure you can find it on the web. good luck

Well, I use CHI, but it still makes my hair wavy later on in the day. I can only suggest one thing, get a Japenese Hair Perm, it makes your hair straight and shiny, permenatly! I got one and I love it! But, sorry hon, I'm afraid it's not in your price range, they cost about $300.00.

Try the conair wet/or dry flat iron. Worked well for me. Buy some antifrizz serum. John fredia works well.

After I get done straightening my hair, I use the cool shot on my blow dryer to set the style. I have wavy hair and use a Chi. if you cant afford a good straightener start saving for one but in the mean time try a good hair straightening product-look for something with silicone that doesnt have water. fantasia (ic) makes one in a pink bottle that is a clear good and one in a blue bottle-one is a hari straightening serum and the other is for relaxed and color treated hair

I own the Hai ceramic, the one with the blue plates. I absolutely LOVE IT! Keeps it straight for the whole day and another if I'm lazy! =) Have had it for going on 2 years and it works the same as the first day I used it! And heats up super quick! As some of the other answers have noted though, it's not really in your price range They run between $80 - $120 I think. Well worth it if you ask me!
