What can I do to straighten my hair without a straight perm by proffesionals?

I need a quick, easy, yet affordable way to straighten my hair in the morning or at night. Proffesionals cost too much and I don't like my wavy and sometimes frizzy hair. I have a metal straightener which doesn't work and fries my hair. Other people can do it for me with no problem but i just can't seem to do it myself, please help me.

Buy a 'wet to dry' Flat iron by "T3"

Its a little pricey but Its an investment. and cheaper than chemical process

Use a cream that protects your hair against heat tools

TextureLine has a awesome ceremide protection ironing creme.

Do this and you will be happy!

and if your hair is fried get a trim and a conditioner with protein and moisture

UHmmm... Buy a hair straightener. They're only like $20 at Walmart. Ceramic ones work best.

Blow dry your hair straight, then add some smoothing serum (I LOVE the Garnier stuff) then use a ceramic straightener (you can get one at a drug store for like $20) and straighten your hair. My hair is long and curly and frizzy and this works perfectly.

You can straighten it by blowdrying it. Just pull it straight with a fine toothed comb as you dry it. Start at the root and work your way to the ends.

If a straightening iron doesn't work on your hair, you should try Pantene Smooth and Sleek shampoo and conditioner... that helps make your hair smooth and cuts down on frizzies!

get a ceramic hair straightener. it doesnt fry hair like a metal one..it usually fries hair after using it so many times it wont if you use the right products. i use matrix%26gt;sleek.look%26gt;smoothing system steps 1-4 so straightening my hair wont fry it. when you straighten your hair put your hair in a pony tail and let some hair down and straighten that part you let down. and keep doing this.its a lot faster..

I have naturally curly hair. I comb a perm through my hair about every 3 months or so. It makes such a difference. Much more manageable. Be careful not to leave the perm solution on too long though or it will dry your hair out and not be good for it. Get the advice of someone at a beauty supply store. I use a product called "Omni Perm". As far as a metalstraightener are you talking about something like a curling iron? I use a blow dryer and a large round brush to smooth mine out. Hope I've helped.

Buy a really good blowdryer(salon type) and ask your friends who are hairdressers to teach you how to, pull, blowdry %26amp; comb through the hair. Its quite a technique but very easy to do once youve mastered it. Recommend it as i had the same problem but now have it sussed with great success. Once finished I usually put an oil on the end to keep them moist.

Well, you need to straighten your hair. It is apparent that many people cannot straighten their own hair because of not seeing the back of their heads. All you need is several mirrors and the following products for your hair: Apply a relaxing serum, like Kerastase Oleo-Relax, on your damp hair. Then blow dry it completely. Use a Chi ceramic straightening iron to straighten your hair. The combination of ceramic heat and Kerastase will not burn your hair. Also, it is easier to straighten the hair with these products. Good Luck!

You need ceramic flat iron. They aren't as hard on your hair.

I would think the best bet is a good quality ceramic straightener, available at a variety of stores. Try London Drugs or something like that to find one that best suits your type of hair. Personally, I use a Conair, double wide ceramic straightener. It heats up in a minute but has a dial on the side that will allow me to decide how hot I want my iron to be...It goes from 1-25. I use 25 because my hair is thick (wavy and frizzy!) and hard to straighten.

If you want to go for the whole thing, wash your hair, blow dry it using a round, ceramic brush. Make sure your hair is totally dry and then straighten your hair with the ceramic straightener. Patience is key! The more seperate strands of hair you do the better result you have. I have super thick hair so straightening in small strands takes forever, but my hair remains sleek and straight almost all day :D

Here's a tip for your poor fried hair :D Clamp a tissue between the heated plates. If the tissue turns yellow, it is DEFINITLY toooo hot for your hair!

Good luck!

You can buy a straightening iron for your hair, they are really easy to use, just be careful not to use it too much because it will dry your hair out and you will lose the natural oils and shine in your hair. Good Luck! ~~Hannah~~

To flat iron it, a good tip is to do it by layers. Use a big "alligator" clip, and make sure you plug in your straightener at least a couple minutes before, depending on what kind it is and what it says. First, clip back all of your hair except for a small chunk, and STRAIGHTEN THE BOTTOM FIRST. Start at roots, and slowly pull down. Keep doing this until that part is COMPLETELY flat. Don't settle for anything but what you want for the first part, because I guarantee that that is how it will look for the rest of it. Then you can move onto another part. Keep doing this layer by layer until it is straight

Also..ceramic straighteners are a lot better..heat up faster and doesn't ruin your hair.

Hope this helps!

  2. I would reccomend a good pair of GHD Hair Straighteners, if you are trying to go for a straight style. They are a very versatile tool. I find GHD Straighteners Online helpful in giving tips on these styles, what trends are in and sourcing and comparing the prices of official straighteners.
