Just get them anyway - they are so worth it! I've had mine for about 3 years now and they are still going strong and I use them nearly every day. They pay for themselves in no time!! Don't waste money on the crappy ones at 鎷?0 - get the real ones!!!

Chi or Wigo.. I have a Wigo flatiron, cost me $80, but well worth it. I don't think I'd pay more for a flatiron, I mean how much better could it possibly be?

Save up and buy ghd, they are the best, I bought mine a year ago and the results are far superior than any others I have used. Try a price comparison site like Kelkoo to see if there are any special offers out there.

the Remington Wet2Straight works really good. i mean you can't straighten your hair like when you get right out of the shower but you can do it while it's damp. but overall it works really good and is a good price. =]

my hair is very very thick and curly for years i have been searching for the best straightners and i finally found them, Remington are the best, they cost about thirty pounds and they heat up very very quickly, you can also adjust the heat setting. I have recently bought some Tony %26amp; Guy ones from Argos which were reduced to 鎷?0 from about 鎷?5. I would not recommend them though, as they dont seem to be very hot, I used remington 2X before that which were excellent.

ghd are not the best they were on tv this week for setting alight, DO NOT BUY was the advice. There are some called chs which are the same as ghd, made by the brother of the ghd company, They have been good. Look for the temperature on the straightners, they give you the straightest hair not the brand. Some bought out of Superdrug for 10 quid work the best I have tried!

What are the best hair straighteners? I'd love some ghd, but they're too expensive.?

I had some other straighteners, I can't remember exactly what they were but they were cheapish ones and they didn't last a year - they couldn't keep my hair straight for even a day anyway and the ceramic stuff was peeling off. I think ghds are worth it, they've lasted me ages and they keep my hair straight all week (providing it doesn't rain lol). i got them on www.hqhair.com for 鎷?5.50 xx

What are the best hair straighteners? I'd love some ghd, but they're too expensive.?

I would avoid ghd straighteners at the moment as they are prone to catching fire. Was on Watchdog the other week

What are the best hair straighteners? I'd love some ghd, but they're too expensive.?

i have tried a lot of straighteners and they arent as good as ghd. i think nothing is better than it. it's worth saving for it rather than buying cheap ones that do not work as good and dont last very long.

Sweetie, take a trip to a black beauty supply store! Do you guys have Sally Beauty supply stores out there? They're also great. Anyway, I recommend you use a mild relaxer. If you have straight, fine, or shiny bouncy curly, kind of slick hair, you can use a Revlon relaxer, Mizani, Motions or even Olive Oil relaxer. Try it, you'll love them. Please, by all means, though do have a professional apply the chemical to your hair. You'll probably want to re-apply or get a touch-up (creme application to your roots, natural re-growth) every 3-6 months, depending on your hair texture. I am of African descent and have fine hair and relax my hair every 2-3 months sometimes. My auntie has different textured hair curly, frizzy and sleek and has actually relaxed her hair before. It saves her time when styling. I also have a few Latina and Ethiopian friends with straighter hair textures that use relaxers as an alternative to straightening with hot appliances regularly.

I got a pair of Remington's in Boots, really cheap (about 鎷?8) and I'm still using them- got them 2 years ago and they work like new. Are the best I've ever got, and I use them every day.

What are the best hair straighteners? I'd love some ghd, but they're too expensive.?

my husband brought me a pair 2 years ago for Christmas they are called Andrew collinge professional digital ceramic straightener, from Argos just looked in the book and they are down to 鎷?9.99. they are really good i have got curly hair but you wouldn`t know that when i have straightened my hair this is the effect they have, i wouldn`t trade them in the world and if they ever broke i would replace them with exactly the same pair.

GHD's are well advertised and because they were one of the first on the market, took the lead and were widely covered in the press.

Hair Tools also have a great range.

Im sorry but having straightened my hair for 10 years now, I can definitely say that buying anything else than GHD's is as good as throwing cash in the bin.

GHD's are the only ones that get hot enough to be effective. The alternative would be to use a clothes iron on your hair which is very difficult and dangerous.

Save, save, save.
