I have very thick wavy hair, I dyed often and use straightener chemicals. I cannot live without these chemicals. I do know they are bad for us. My hair is totally unmanagable, straightener and dyes will only to camflauge the faults.

I've never heard of egg, but I used to use mayo all the time when I had bleached hair. Olive oil is great also.
It's the oils in mayonaisse that help to condition it. I used to slather it on and leave it for about an hour, then shampoo and condition like usual.

i don't know about egg yolk but i've knew a girl that used mayo for deep conditioning, she swore that it worked well. Also, Vo5 hot oil treatments

just one tip: when rinsing out your hair use cold water, not warm or hot, when i was around 10 my friend thought it would be a good idea to put egg in our hair, and rinsed it with hot water. it actually left cooked pieces of egg in her hair! no lie. it made it shiny tho
