Humidity makes my hair get extremely frizzy?

Okay, well I'm going to japan this summer, and it's extremely humid over there, and I use a chi straightener to straighten my hair. When the humidity hits my hair, my hair gets really frizzy, and it looks really damaged and awful. Is there a way to protect my hair, and keep it straight?

I use chi shampoo, and this hair renewal shampoo/conditioner. I use heat protection spray before I straighten my hair, also.

(My hair is frizzy because it was colored about 2 years ago, and it looks horrible when I don't straighten it)

go to walmart or taget and get a leave in conditioner...its like a spray %26amp; it wont damage your hair in the heat...or you can also try an anti-frizz shine mist...you can also find that at target or walmart....both of these product baught together would be a total of about $10(5 for each)

well they only thing that i know that will keep it straight is to put some hair spray in your hair.

i have the same trouble when i go to India on holiday. all attempts to straighten my hair work... in the hotel room...then i go out into the street...and i may as well not have bothered..curly hair in 10 minutes!! think you just have to live with it.

I'm not sure. I just let mine curl all the time because straightening is a nightmare. I always use a moisturizing conditioner--even though some things say they are moisturizing they may still have alcohol in them and dry you out. Then, afterwards I put in a strong hold mousse and use some hairspray. It at least keeps the frizzing to a minimum--it also helps define my curls so they don't look awful.
