You can curl hair with most sraightners but different widths of straighning irons plates the results can come out differently. First rough dry hair dont blowdry, The take sections from th bottem of the hair, bring the staightners all the way down to the bottem as if you were straightning, then as you get to the bottem you twirl the hair round the straightners and keep twisting the hair round the straightners how you would with a curling tong and hold for about 30seconds or so. Hairspray can help if you want to help hold the hair in place and its good to have a friend help on those hard to reach places.

Thoroughly brush your hair and section it with ties or clips. This style can only work if you use a thin iron that is about 1 inch wide. If you use a wider one the style may not work.

Make sure your hair is completely tangle free and smooth before you begin. Start from the bottom layer of hair on one side. Take a small section of hair. Using a thin iron, clamp it at the bottom of your hair and slowly curl it upwards.

I know with the CHI straighter (the origional one) you can flip, straighten, and curl it. You curl it by wrapping your hair around this straighter and they create a gorgeus curl! The Chi Iron isnt very wide so the curls come out just right

I do it all the time ... the answer of the one before me is almost correct... but before putting ur hair as usual between the straightner and twisting it till the split ends.. there are certain steps u need to follow:

1. wasch hair

2. put any leave on cream, s.th. that just styles it (could be mousse, but not gel)

3. leave it to dry for a while (or dry it for 2 min with the hair drier)

2 ways! :]

*to make a wavy curl.

you wrap a strand of hair around the straighteners (so touching the outsides as they get hot too),

then release after holding for about 20 seconds so the curl doesnt fall out as quickly.

*to create a loose ribbon curl

u place the hair straighteners at the top of your hair where u want ur curl to start.

(ur thumb should be against your head.)

u then twist the straighteners around either totally or less as i do, so the ribbon is wider rather than tight.

you then you bend the curlers upwards (not the hair, just twist your hand)

so the hair is taught between your head and the curl and run the straighteners down.

do this slowly to create a defined look or quickly to create a casual curl and by twisting ur hand upwards u get a nice flick :]

then finish by using hair lacker/spray on it so they dont drop out!
