I'm going to Egypt (220-240v) Will my GHD hair straighteners (250v) work with a normal adaptor?

Yes 220-240 is the standard these day, even if your GB hair straighteners are marked 250 , that is the peak, house electric is alternating from high to low etc. i.e 220 to 250 volts, and any way it is hot out there your hair will dry quick any way.

Yes, but they will take longer to warm up, you'll have to wait a little bit more to have them ready to use them.

In Egypt the current is 220 V - The plug is 2 round shaped. In case yours doesn't apply for the size, you can buy a converter from many supermarkets and small shops. To be sure where you can buy it. (Alpha market) in case you are near to Maadi, Dokki, Heliopolis or (RadioShack) in many districts. Both may have such things.

Good luck and welcome

If your appliance is dual voltage then it will work with just an outlet adapter. If it is not then you will need a voltage converter (a hair dryer or any appliance that requires heat will need this). I used my Conair hair straightener with just an outlet adapter with no problems. Radio Shack carries any adapters you will need.
