How do you get rid of static in your hair?

Most days, I get out of the shower and blow dry my hair. Then I use a straightener. And then afterwards, my hair has static! Everytime I touch it, it's staticy. Are there any tricks or quick fixes to get it to go away before I head out the door?

I spray a little bit of hairspray (not aerisol) into my brush and give my hair one last quick onceover. Or you might try some smoothing milk while your hair is still wet.

This is no joke!! I'm a stupdent in cosmetology and my first year (2 year program) my hair was really staticy and I asked my instructor what I could use. She took out a can of Static Guard and problem solved!! It is amazing! Just spray it on like hairspray or spray it to your hairbrush and brush your hair.

I put just a little bit (dime size amt.) of body lotion on my hands and rub them together then run my fingers through my hair the lotion will tame the fly aways careful though to much!
