no, i have one and i love it..Make sure its a good quality one..don't get a chepy one for like 12 bucks...invest in one thats like 2o something..MAKE SURE YOU SPRAY YOUR HAIR WITH TRESSEME HEAT PROTECTOR!! if you do that, you will be fine!! ( or try any other heat spray so you dont damage your hair...they arent expensive!)

yes, evry straightener does. but when i had a conair straightener it burnt my hair really badly!noe i have a head bed straightener and it doesnt burn ur hair unless if u use it right after u take a shower or if u straighten ur hair evry day. i straighten my hair evry week and it looks really good!
