I have shoulder-length, straight-ish blonde hair, and since prom is next week, it's too late to make a hair appointment. I have a straightener and a curler. What should I do with my hair?

I did my own hair for prom, and mine is pretty long. I curled all of it first. Then I put it up, curled the ends again so they looked cleaner, use a lot of hairspray of course, especially if its going to be windy. Then arrange the curls the way they look best, using bobby pins. You can also take some pieces down in the back or front to make it look really good. I also put some flowers in the curly part and it looked really good. Hope this helps!

i had the same thing to debate on. thank god my aunt is a hair dresser tho. ur really a pretty girl. i think that u shud put it up in a high pony tail, with long cascading soft curls. i think that that wud b really pretty. thats wat she did with mi hair. but it was a ponytail that i bought and she set it.lol

Well, honestly I think you'd be able to make an appointment but you do whatever you want! Here's a little hairstyle I use a lot and it's just like what I had done at the salon for my 8th grade grad.

Well, there's two options. You can use curlers or a curling iron.

1st put your hair in a semi-high ponytail, if you have bangs leave them out of the ponytail. Then if you want to use curlers, take a little less than a one-inch wide section of DRY hair and wet it down with hair spray and roll it in those foam roller. You can get them at wal-mart, target, anywhere! Repeat this until your whole ponytail is in curlers. Sleep on them, then the next morning take them out to reveal a VERY curly ponytail. Now get a bunch of bobby pins and pin random sections around your ponytail. It'll look like a bun sort of, but not tight and it'll be curly. Be sure to pin everything up though, or it'll start falling apart.

If you don't want to use curlers...then put your hair in a dry ponytail still semi-high and curl about 1 inch sections of hair. Then pin them up just like you would if you were using the curlers mentioned above. Same results, but I find it easier to use the rollers. It may not be your style though, so be sure to test it out a few days before if you decide to use it!
