well, i have uber curly frizzy hair. i just recently cut it at about my shoulders to make it easier to straighten.
but, when i straighten it, i put on tresemme's straightening gel, which "protects" your hair from the damage the straightener causes.
i do have side bangs.
i live in south florida, and its really humid, so i guess thats why it frizzes so much.
because i straighten it at night, and in the morning i just head out the door.
but, when i get to school, the ends start curling up and looking awfully disgusting.
so, what is anything i could buy or anything i should do to my hair so it doesnt frizz.
oh btw, moving isnt an option, or chemically straighten it.
thanks so much. :D
Straightnening curly, frizzy hair?
Go to a beauty/hair store.
And ask one of the people that work there what kind of hair product you can use to prevent that happening to your hair.
Before you straighten your hair, use a heat protecter spray thing.

I don't know if this would help with the frizz as much it but you could go to an ethnic salon and get it pressed. And I wouldn't use gel, I'd use a serum.

You might want to try mixing a serum with the gel before straightening. You can get a few different brands at any drugstore like John Freida, Garnier, etc. You also might want to deep condition your hair every week. Another product to carry around with you would be John Freida's Secret Weapon. It's a cream that you use to help with flyaways and frizz after you are finished blowing it dry and using a flat iron. You can use it during the day if your hair acts up.

Straighten it at night (which you are already doing) and in the morning I would straighten JUST the ends (the parts that flip up) and then put on hairspray. The hairspray should last all day long, so the ends won't flip up! :D
