I went to the dermatologist yesterday because my hair was damaged by a straightener back in October and had to be cut short and is still breaking off and didn't seem to be growing much to me. He gave me a corticosteroid shot and said that would help my hair be in the active growth stage rather than the resting stage. Has anyone ever heard of this?? Also, he prescribed Capex shampoo to be used 3 times a week - it's for fungal infections of the scalp. I have some flaking and itching - dandruff type stuff but he did not say I had a fungus - He said this would help my hair grow. Has anyone every heard of this?? Thanks.
Corticosteroid shot for hair growth?
my best friend had the same problem of hair breaking off and not growing. it was because of a diet that lacked meat. once the diet was changed, the hair started to recover.
