I remember when I took my old ones to Florida, they didn't get hot enough due to the voltage being different.
I have new ones now (GHD's) and was just wondering if they would work in Mexico? Is it the same voltage as the US?
If not, can anyone recommend what i can do? Should I buy some US ones to take with me?
Wil my UK hair straighteners work in Mexico?
They probably won't get hot enough unless they are dual voltage (it should say if they are in the information leaflet you should have got when you bought them). If they are dual voltage they usually have a small switch that you turn to change to a different voltage. You may have to buy worldwide voltage travel straighteners just in case.
They may be ok though if they are the new model of GHD's which I'm fairly sure are dual voltage, but mine didn't work when I went to the USA last month.

My daughter took her GHD's to the usa and all she needed to take with her was a travel plug adapter.
She had no problems, her hair is very unruly unless she uses her GHD's.
