I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

First is first, I'm 13 years old so you'd be surprised to find that I don't talk 'LYK3 D15!' I am mature and I live in this unrealistic soceity of bitches. I'm trying to fit in the best as I can, and first I'm starting with my hair.

I have wavy/frizy hair, because when I was a baby, I literally had shirley temple hair. I have a straightener and I use pantene, but I need directions on to get it STRAIGHHT. Please help, thanks =]

I have very curly/frizzy hair.....First you want to start with some type of Silk Serum to take away the frizz...Paul Mitchell is really good....the first thing is to pin your hair up into about 3 or 4 sections....(Depends on thickness) you get a blow dryer with a brush attached.....And blow dry you hair starting with the bottom layer up..After it is all dry you can use a CERAMIC Flat iron to get it to desired straightness. Then you can pull back that straight part into a hair-tie and bring down the next layer of your hair. and do the same thing until all of your hair is the way you would like.... I hope that is helpful. I am 14 and recently started doing my hair this way. I takes a while but comes out looking great. If you have any questions just ask!

you can get it chemically or thermally straightened at a salon...i dont know how long it will last and its pretty expensive, but it works

haha....that cracked me up. Japanese straightening is expensive, but lasts until your roots start growning in. Other than that, I can't help you, sorry! If all else fails, embrace your waves!

i use pantene too. if you have a beauty supply house where you live then you can use a straightening creme or shiner.. it should help keep your hair straight and less frizzy then just straightning it regularly.

You need to buy a straightening serum to go along with your straightener. I suggest Paul Mitchell; its a little bit expensive but it works! Also, if you are using a straightener with metal plates, you are just frying away your hair causing it to be more frizzy. Try buying a cermaic hair straightener. It won't fry or damage your hair as much. Plus, pantene has a good conditioner but their shampoo isn't healthy for your hair. Try using suave. I know it's cheap but it also works. If you don't want to use sauve, then go buy a salon shampoo for your hair. Good luck.

use some serum on your hair, plug in the straightner, turn it on and start straightning from the roots down spending less than a minute on each section you are doing

From the sounds of it, we have similar hair. Try not washing it every single day, your hair won't be as well "inflated" and will be easier to strighten, and look a lot better.

ok first you can start with your flat iron okay take your hair moisturizer and put it on you hair or bye some moisturizing hair spray(i perfer moisturizing hair spray) and every strand of hair you are about to flat iron spray the moisterizer then take the flat iron and put it at the top of your (hair) and close the flat iron and pull it to the bottom of your hair and then see what u get if you like it just repeat what you just did. or you can wash it and without drying put it on a wet ponytail then your dangaling hair out of your ponytail flat iron it the way i told u at the top.

By the way stop using this kind of shampoo i will give you a name of a shampoo if you colour your hair use elviva because elviva is for coloured hair and if you don't use wellapon with egg and betaine this one is for normal hair and it's the best try it girl trust me.

i wish i have curly hair. i am asian so my hair is always straight but i hated. anyway, you want an answer. couple of years ago it was popular to get straight hair so i was happy but my hair was not straight and straight like other girls. so i ask their secrets on how they got such straight hair. They told me you need to see a professional who is a professional in doing straight hair. they told me the best place to do them is chinatown hair salon because these hair dressers has the most experience. the cost is about $200. But it's worth it because all you do is wash and go and your hair is pencil staight.

Darling, listen for a second...

Just because you talk is mature doesn't QUITE mean that all of you is mature...for example, it's not NECESSARILY mature to try to fit in. Part of being mature is being yourself (yet, being respectful). Learn to love you for who you are.

But to answer your question, you need to stop using Pantene as your first step, if you can. Try to buy some Paul Mitchell Matrix, or better yet, some Biosilk or Aveda products. It's a lot better for your hair.

To get it straight (and believe me, I'm the queen of hair straightening) do this:

1. INVEST IN A CHI. At 13 this might not be easy, because you have parents to adhere to, but if you never convince them of anything, TRY TO GET A CHI flat iron. (I prefer the 2" turbo CHI, but they're all awesome; there's also a new nano CHI that you can get). If you're allowed, get one of ebay, or go to a local beauty supply store, or professional salon and buy one. (tip: if a salon doesn't sell a CHI or FAROUK products, get away from it IMMEDIATELY).

However, if you can't get one you can use a ceramic plate flat iron, or worse case scenario get the CONAIR 1-1/2" curling iron with 20 heat settings and use setting 18 or 20, just use the curling iron like you would a flat iron.

2. Blow dry your hair straight BEFORE straightironing your hair...it helps a lot. AND after you blow dry apply some biosilk or pink oil moisturizer and let it sit on there for about 15-20 minutes THEN straighten with flat or curling iron

3. CONDITION...use leave in conditioner or moisturizer before using any heat...it keeps your hair healthy

4. TRIM your hair at least every 3-4 months depending on how fast grows.

5. Be patient...you can't necessarily straighten it in 15 minutes, so spend time on it.

I know some of where you're coming from. I never fit into this society either, but I got to the point that I didn't care. I'm me, that's all I can be. Be whatever you are, don't let people around you bring you down.

I was born with curls also. I tried the striaght hair thing for a while, but I can't stand chemicals. My hair is long, and I'm finding that if I keep it long...it straightens out most of the curls. The shorter my hair, the curlier it gets.

It's very refreshing to find someone 13 that actually acts their age, instead of 2 years old. I've seen a lot of people on here use slang when they type. Who the heck can understand that?

Goodluck with your hairstyle.
