can you curl your hair with an flat iron/straightener or is only a specific kind?

hi yes you can curl your hair with any straighters,the bigger they are you just get more of a wave.and small ones give a really nice curl.just wacth your fingers when doing it

there are certain straighteners that are specifically 2 in 1.. but it would probably work with a really thin straightener

you tecnically could curel hair with a straightener, but it'd be nore like kinking it instead of curling it. you can buy a cureler for about $5. or you could buy a 2 n 1.

Hey, i acctually jsut did a short hairdressing course on how to straighten and curl your hair using just a typical hair straightener and it does work, and its just as good. Just remember to take small amounts of hair at a time!

The are certain ones you can do it with and others that you cant. It should say on the packaging if your buying a new one. But dont try to do it with one your not sure about because it could be very damaging to your hair. Also...overall its very difficult to curl with a flat iron so i would reccomend using a curling iron. I work in a salon and I feel like its more damaging to curl with a flat iron. Hope this helps

Yes you can. I agree with the rest, the straightner would be best thin but if you dont have one,

go to the drugstore and buy some inexpensive sponge curlers. wrap them around the ends of your hair just to the level you want the curl and just blowdry all around - it will give the same effect -

curls my hair with a thin hair straightener all the time. It doesn't damage your hair... hair curlers are more prone to burning your hair! its perfectly safe to curl your hair with a straightener.

if your straightener is completely flat..you can sometimes flip, depending on how far away the plate is from the edge of the straightener..but not curl..but if your straightener has a curved side (like a CHI..and many others)..you can curl, flip, straighten, or spiral(if your careful)
