How can i make my hair super straight like how they do it at the hairdressers?

Yesterday i went to the hairdressers to have a wash and straighten, the woman blow dryed my hair in a really rough way which made it really bushy but then straightened it with GHD straighteners and my hair is till now really straight.I don't get it,when i straighten my hair really good a night later it gets wavy....how can i make it straight for a couple of days?

How can i make my hair super straight like how they do it at the hairdressers?

Well first of all, I am guessing you have really curly hair or thick hair. Hair stylists use powerful and expensive hair straighteners. Hair staighteners at the hair salons can heat up to 250 and in stores such as walmart or target store, they can only sell a certain heat quantity which is usually 80. If you are wanting to get a good hair straightener buy one from a salon, they are all ceramic so they wont damage your hair and also get really hot, so your hair will straighten more. Since you probably have curly hair, you will need some hair straightening products to protect your hair from the heat and to keep it straight.

How can i make my hair super straight like how they do it at the hairdressers?

Dunno, but I'd love you be you! When I go, they poof up my hair, so I have to go home and style it myself!

How can i make my hair super straight like how they do it at the hairdressers?

Try striaghtning in sections like clip the top of you hair up-straighten- put more hair down-straighten-and then put the rest down- and straighten. If you hair is thick your hair striaghtner might not be getting hot enough. I would recomend a CHI straightner they are sorta pricey but good. Also get striaghtning shampoos and conditioners...閳?br>How can i make my hair super straight like how they do it at the hairdressers?

Do shops have to be "qualified" to sell GHD hair straighteners?

can they only be sold by certain shops or salons or can anybody sell them?

How can i find out how things work like hair straighteners like technically.?

I need the technical things like a website would work and maybe if you can explaine it to me in great detail it is for a school project so if you know anything then please answer my question.

How can i find out how things work like hair straighteners like technically.?

Hair straighteners (and perms) work chemically by breaking sulfur bonds in hair protein. Hair protein (keratin, the same stuff in nails) is a long, narrow protein that grows in parallel bundles (which is why hair grows in strands and nails are flat). These bundles hold together because of sulfur bridges between strands. Think of rungs on a ladder. The keratin makes up the sides of the ladder, and the sulfur bridges are the rungs.

When you straighten or perm your hair, the chemicals (which are strong bases) break the sulfur bridges. Then you reshape the hair and the bridges reform, holding the strand straight or curly (or whatever you did to it).

If you leave the chemicals in too long, the bridges can't form again, and your hair falls apart.

The best way to learn about how a home perm works is to read a chemistry book. Keywords: sulfur bridges, acids and bases, proteins. And read up on keratin in a biology book.

Hey hair question for a party. details inside!?

You should watch the movie Chicago, you can get some ideas from there.閳?br>Hey hair question for a party. details inside!?

I'd say curl it and try to look something like this:

Hey hair question for a party. details inside!?

I was once in a dance, and the music was from Chicago. So, we had to put our hair in a slicked back bun (not just fro dancing) and then the actual bun was curled, and almost like a typical "prom/wedding" bun, with bobby pins and TONS of hairspray. Also, a headband crossing you forehead would do! This bun should be approximately 3 inches from the bottom of you hair line (on the back of your neck)...

Have SO much fun! I love mystery par-tays%26lt;3

Help!! Anyone know which High Street Shops sell GHD Hair Straighteners? I need them as a present!!!!

Not many hight street shops do I am afraid, Boots definately doesn't. Department stores such as Selfridges are more likely too. However, your best bet is to ask in hair salons as they usually sell them, I bought a pair today from a hair salon. Just so you know they cost 鎷?19. Good luck xxx

How to get shiny smooth hair ?

My hair is naturally wavy but it tends to get frizzy whenever I blow dry it or when it air dries. So I use too many smoothing gels and I know thats bad. I want a shampoo that will still keep my curls but make my hair less frizzy. I absolutely dont want to use a straightener :D Oh, my hair is kind of dry because whenever I brush my hair it gets staticy and frizzy.

Is there anything else I can do besdies using cremes and styling products ?

Maybe some home products.

By the way Im only 14 so I cant really afford any expensive shampoos or conditioners.

How to get shiny smooth hair ?

Never ever use a brush on wavy hair! After shower, use a leave-in conditioner (like infusium -23) and a large comb to comb out knots, then use a forming gel like Vavoom (matrix), scrunch hair while you blow dry on low setting but not all the way dry leave some damp and then hairspray. You'll love it!!

Try using Alberto VO 5 hairdressing, it only cost about $5.00

How to get smooth straight hair...what are the best products?

You know how your hair looks so smooth, silky and shiny when the hairdresser straightens it?

I've tried shampoo for straight hair, conditioners, add in products etc...but the result is never the same as when she does it in the salon.

I even received an expensive straightener for Christmas!

My hair is streaked so it's a bit dry, but it's relatively straight to begin with and when the hairdresser does my hair, it's got movement, shine.....I want to be able to do this at home!

Why has my hair stayed straight?

i have naturally curly hair and straigten it.. now i have stopped useing the straighteners, and my hair is not going back curly.. its been 2months since i last used the irons. and no curl oir wave is in sight?? any1 know how to put this right or why my hair stayed straight. even after shamoo/ and deep conditioning

Why has my hair stayed straight?

Hair ofter has to be trained. By straighten it you have trained it to be curly. Did you chemically straighten it? If so, all of the chemicals will have to grow out before it will go back to being curly. That could take years. If you have only being using irons, it still needs to be retrained. Go to the salon and get a roller set. They will set the hair on perm rollers without using the chemicals. This will get it super curly. Then you just need to wash and dry. Try using curl boosting products - eventually it will go back to curly.

Which straightener works best?

No offense, but I only want the answers of people who have curly, wavy, a little poofy hair, and who use a straightener. If yours works really REALLY well, can you please post a picture, name the price and where you got it? Also, if you have been using it for a while, does it damage your hair? Thanks!

Which straightener works best?

I answered another question like this today. If you have the money to do it, the Maxi-Glide is the best I have found so far. it runs about 70.00 to 100.00 on ebay but it is worth every penny. Here is a pic...

http://cgi.ebay.com/MAXI-GLIDE-MAXIGLIDE...

It has steam that seals your hair and keeps it from frizzing and little comb teeth on the plate that brushes as it straightens. It takes half the time of a normal straightener (I have hair almost down to my waist and it takes me about 10 minutes to do the whole thing).

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

I am graduating from 8th grade so i am trying to do something amazing with my hair. I am black, and i have really tight curled hair...nappy in other words. i wear my hair in braids all year round and i have never used chemicals in my hair before. should i perm or use relaxer in my hair? does it drastically change my hair to the point where i can't have it in single braids anymore? if i don't go for that option, will a straightener work on my hair? Thank you so much for your help

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

Keep it real. Stay Natural. Some perms, even the mild ones, can take you hair out.

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

You can be damaging your hair if you just got a perm on your edges or your whole head and you didn't let any new growth grow and you constantly keep on perming your hair.

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

perms harm your hair alot, its really bad for it, my mom got a perm in high school, and her hair was down to her waist, she hated it so much, now its short and spikey (like an inch long)

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

first of all congradulations. i think you deserve it cause you spell alot better then some of the older people on here. To answer your Q%26gt; yes it can be very damaging if you do it yourself and not by a professional. go to a salon and get it done(perm/relaxer). you still will be able to braid it. straightners work on your type of hair but again have it done by a professional. if your on a budget i'd recommend that you just have it single braided.

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

I hav a perm in mi hair ( straight perm) but i got mine at ulta so itz not a real perm itzz just like a perm but it more relaxes your hair and mi hair lo0ks AWESOME now ! so0 it schould work 4 u mi hair isnt damaged!

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

I've had a perm so don't get one. It's very damaging that when you get sick of it and start to brush your hair back to normal you can't even brush it otherwise it becomes a big knot.Hope I've helped!

How damaging is a perm on your hair?

i relaxed my hair at your age because i didn't want my mom braiding my hair anymore and i wanted a new look, something more grown up. You should know that you'll have to relax your hair about every 6 weeks or when ever you have an ample amount of new growth. This can be very costly, and should be done by a professional. If you choose to stay natural you can just straighten your hair from time to time and then you can still go back to braids.

What's all the hype about these CHI hair straighteners???

i don't get it. is it something new or what?!

What's all the hype about these CHI hair straighteners???

It sort of fried my hair so I am not sure how good they are !

What's all the hype about these CHI hair straighteners???

Chi hair straighteners are supposed to work extremely well and are healthier for your hair, helping to prevent damage, split ends, dryness, etc. Although they are expensive and I have never tried using one myself, I know they work well for some people.

What's all the hype about these CHI hair straighteners???

no it is not new they cost more money than regular cheap flatirons. there is also sedu, and t3. alot of people recommend sedu.you can look at before and after pictures. at www.folica.com they might cost more but they work better on the hair then the cheap ones

What's all the hype about these CHI hair straighteners???

they work quicker and you get better more lasting results. they also make yourt hair look more shiny and soft.

How to manage long thin hair?

My hair is a little longer than shoulder lenght and it is straight and a little on the thin side. I usually just put it up but i want to start wearing it down more. I usually dry my hair. It makes it a little frizzy, but it is frizzy when i don't dry it too sometimes. Also it tangles easy. When i wear it down it looks like it needs brushed within 10 minutes, and it isn't always friz or tangles, it just looks bad. Just kind of limp. I put leave-in conditioner to help with frizz and hold it in one place. When is the best time to put this in, before it is dried or after wards. The directions say damp or dry hair. What products or methods should i try to just wear it down, not in any particular way just down. I also am wodering if using a straightener even though my hair is natrally straight will make it look better? Any advise would be helpful because I am not really good with knowing what to do with my hair

How to manage long thin hair?

If your hair is too long, it only gets dragged down. You might considering cutting it to shoulder length. Then, use a good shampoo and volumiser spray, and blow dry it with a good flat rubber brush but gently, and not too hot. You can also use conditioners that are not too creamy; the watery ones work best to add protein and nourishment to the hair. This adds a bit of body, too.

Yes, the anti-frizz treatments are generally used on freshly shampooed hair that is damp. Then gently blow it dry.

Could someone tell me the best kind of hair straighteners and where u can buy them???

the ISO Beauty is good, its ceramic, not that expensive, has ionic technology, heats up fast and u can get them in different colors like pink, purple, blue, yellow... i bought it from ebay but traded it in for the corioliss... which is like an imitation of it, just as expensive as the CHI. I would have just kept the iso.

I love how it defrizzes my hair oh my godd. you can curl your hair with it too. get it from ebay its too expensive at their website http://www.isobeauty.com/id72.html

Could someone tell me the best kind of hair straighteners and where u can buy them???

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

My personal advice, if you want to take it, is just bite the bullet and pay the extra. It is definitely woth it.

I had the original babyliss team straightneres, then had remington ones (which I thought were amazing at the time), then I tried charles worthington, then the remington wet/dry ones (useless!!), then I bought corioliss (which they sell in bluewater and at the ideal home show and they are absolute rubbish, waste of 鎷?0), then I tried nicky clarke and some others after that. In the end I succumbed and bought GHD and I would never ever use anything else, nothing matches up.

It does depend on your hair type I guess. If its not too bad then cheaper ones will work, but I find not only do GHDs make it super straight it also seems to stay straighter in damp conditions compared to all the others.

Try lookfantastic.com or jasonshankey.co.uk. I think these are 2 very reliable, cheap(ish) website who also offer free gifts sometimes. On lookfantastic.com to become a memeber you just need to register your details then you get the cheaper price.

Happ straightening!

There are alot of straightners up to standard now. I use Remingtons. one piece of advise though don't buy Tresemme, they just don't work.

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

i am a ghd owner. i have had plenty of other straighteners before and not one of them match up to ghds. thing is, youll think i cant afford to spend money on the good ones so ill get a cheaper version, except... they break, so youll keep buying new cheap ones. til eventually you might as well have bought some ghds coz youll have spent that much money on them!!! trust me... they are my most treasured possesion!! buy them immediately..!! lol :)

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

I use hair tools ionic straighteners which I bought off the internet. I find that they suit my hair better than GHD which tend to make my hair fly away a bit and they are not so good on thicker hair. I have had my hair tools ones for over 2 years now and they still work perfectly.

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

nothings as good as ghd!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

well i have to say that GHD are the ultimate hair straightners that you can ever buy however i do think that remingtons a really good brand try that one.

yes i got a good pair of ebay. They are called SHE and are by the manufacturers of ghd but sold under that name. You get ur year warranty and different thicknesses.

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

Hi, ive tried lots of different hair straigteners by different makes. But i have to be honest, GHDS are the ones who dont wreck your hair like the others do. I got some decent ones called Kodo they are high tempereature that straighten my hair but i found my hair becoming more brittle even when i was using a heat protection spray. So i then decided to try another type so i tried Vidal Sassoon, these where brilliant and dont snag hair, they still damaged my hair alot though then eventually they stopped working, and i couldnt get the same type again so i tried the vidal sassoon glass ones and they werent any good either. So i went back to my Kodo for a while. But i though everyone says GHDS are good and they actually improve the condition of your hair. So last year i got a pair from a hairdresser near me and they are better than any i have tried and ive been using them for ages and my hair doesnt seem brittle and thin like it used to and has actually started growing again as its not getting in bad condition also they dont snag or pull either which saves your hair the damage. I know GHDS are 鎷?00 but you will pay nearly 鎷?0-鎷?0 for high street ones so i would pay the extra for GHDS as they are the best.

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

F.H.I, you can buy from salon services. I bought f.h.i after my second set of g.h.d broke down. The f.h.i. cost about 鎷?0.00 and are really just as good as g.h.d

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

I'm a GHD girl now but i also have a pair of KODO's they are the next best thing to GHD's. i paid about 鎷?0 for mine.

FHI straighteners are really good xxx

Does anyone know of a cheaper brand of hair straighteners than GHD but are equally as good quality?

Solia works great for me.

Does anyone know of any battery-operated hair straighteners?

I will be living on a sailboat for about a year %26amp; it would be very handy to have. I can only seem to find ones with cords though!

Does anyone know of any battery-operated hair straighteners?

If you dont find one on the internet, id check out antique stores for an old fashioned one. It will work on a heater or propane stove,...both of which you'll have onboard. No wires, no batteries. Any heat source will do.

Does anyone know of any battery-operated hair straighteners?

not battery -operated but rechargeble ones... you can get one at liquidation wold for like 10$

Does anyone know of any battery-operated hair straighteners?

they don't make battery operated straighteners. a rechargeable would work but what are you going to charge it with? if you have electricity to recharge, then why not buy a good one with a cord?

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

In general, any tool made of two hinged parts is called a pair, even after they are put together. Hence pliers, scissors, calipers etc. (The name used in Sheffield, where scissors were traditionally made, for the person who puts together the two halves of a pair of scissors is a "puttertogetherer")

There is one interesting exception to this rule: "forceps". It is confusing. It looks like a plural because it ends in an "s", but that is because it comes straight from Latin. It is wrong to talk about "a pair of forceps". If you have two of these tools, you should say "a pair of forcipes"

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

two plates perhaps?!

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

because there are two straightening plates hense a pair

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

maybe they are referring to the plates , as there are 2 plates and its the plates that straightenn the hair "a pair of straighteners"

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

two plates.

its like a pair of pants. there is only one garment, but 2 leg holes.

A pair of glasses. only one item, but 2 lenses.

Its all thanks to the stupid language we call english

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

Same reason as we have pairs of scissors, tongs, trousers, tights, knickers, etc etc

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

cos there is two plates to straighten hair

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

Same as pair of trousers, glasses, scissors, tweezers, etc, etc....

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

2 plates

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

i think is cuz theres two plates

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

why is a pair of pants called a pair of pants when theres only one...the world will never know..

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

I don't care if they are a pair, as long as they straighten my hair.:-)

Why are they called "a PAIR of hair straighteners" when there's only one?!?

sometimes they say a pair like 4 exxample 1 pair of shoes coming right up!!

Hair ideas for a date tonight?? Help me please!!?

Okay, so I'm going on a date tonight TO THE MOVIES and I want a really sexy hairdo for the date. I have naturally curly hair and I do own a straightener. I wear my hair equally split between curly and straight, so the guy has seen both. Hot rollers do not work with my hair and I don't own a curling iron and wouldn't be able to get one by tonight. Any ideas? Explanations or website links would be great, too. Thank you so much!

Please answer this! %26lt;3

Hair ideas for a date tonight?? Help me please!!?

Think that you should have your hair down That way if if you want him to kiss you you can give those signs like flicking your hair ect...

But if your hair is up that is OK too.

I think have ponytail and have strait have a curly ponytail and and strait hair under

Hope that I Have helped

:-)

Hair ideas for a date tonight?? Help me please!!?

Just straighten it and wear it down. Curls are more likely to fall loose if you wear it down in curls. Or you can wear it have up and half down. If you have a friend that has a curling iron ask her if you can borrow it.

I am looking up some sites, but to help you better I need to know if your hair is short medium or long. Also, what shape is your face? Just FYI the curly look is sexier. And it wont look so bad if you have a good date and mess it up.

Hair ideas for a date tonight?? Help me please!!?

You should just straighten it if it is long. If it is short, then you should scrunch it with scrunch spray.

P.S. you should by a small curling iron. If you did then you should straighten your hair and then make cute loose ringlets!!!!

I NEED TIPS ON HOW TO DO mY HAIR.........IT'S THICK AND NOT EASILY STYLED?

I AM BLACK AND MY HAIR STRAIGHTENERS ARE BROKEN CAN U PLZ HELP ME

I NEED TIPS ON HOW TO DO mY HAIR.........IT'S THICK AND NOT EASILY STYLED?

Hot oil treatments help, along with a deep leave-in conditioner. Next time you blowdry, use a big round barreled brush and a blowdryer with a nozzle and that should work.

I NEED TIPS ON HOW TO DO mY HAIR.........IT'S THICK AND NOT EASILY STYLED?

Try some braids or cornrows. I know they are classics but try them and they do look great!

My hair used to be naturally straight, what happened?

My hair used to be naturally straight, but, sometimes it now gets frizzier and is wavier. It's probably because when when my hair wasn't perfectly straight, I would always straighten it. I already bought a 200 dollar straightener to protect my hair when I straighten and work faster, but, I want it back to the way it was. How do I restore my hair to it's natural health and get it straight again without having to put so much heat on it and waste time? Thanks =]

My hair used to be naturally straight, what happened?

Well you should of never strightened it, However my hair was stright too, But now 4 years later it got very dry and frizzy, So you should try to go to a solon and get it deep conditioned i think it cost like $15-$30 bucks but its worhth it, Do it 2 times a month.

And then watch the magic, Or you can always do the mayo trick NASTY!!!

Anyone own any Nicky Clarke Kinder 4 Hair straighteners?

If so, are they any good. I have Mark Hill Morphy Richards ones and they work well but I was wondering whether the increase of 20 degrees makes a difference??

I am not interested in getting GHD's, I want to find a more affordable pair where you get similar results? Are the Nicky Clarke ones any good?

Anyone own any Nicky Clarke Kinder 4 Hair straighteners?

no I DON'T LIKE THINGS LIKE THAT TO BURN YOUR HAIR IS not a good idea

Anyone own any Nicky Clarke Kinder 4 Hair straighteners?

My girlfriend had the Nicky Clarke ones but the cable broke and couldn't easily be repaired. She wanted me to get GHD's but I read a few reviews and found that SCP had good professional reviews for their model range. As they are very reasonably priced I gave it a go and she was more than satisfied with the results she can achieve. I ordered hers through - http://www.hairstuffdirect.co.uk/ They were rapidly despatched and she has had no problems with them for nearly 2 years.

Anyone own any Nicky Clarke Kinder 4 Hair straighteners?

Anyone own any Nicky Clarke Kinder 4 Hair straighteners?

Can someone tell me all the little things you can do everyday to make your hair straighter little by

you know, the little things,(oh and i do straigten my hair with a good straightener and im not buying a new one) like washing your hair with cold water and using a comb for wet hair.

Can someone tell me all the little things you can do everyday to make your hair straighter little by little?

try using a skinny serum by paul mitchell its really good....after you shampoo your hair...towel dry and put some on after....avoid blow drying your hair.....its okay to use a straightner but don't use too many heating things they damage your hair....i used to have split ends and now ever since i started using the serum i don't have any....try to get a hair cut every 2 months....i put a lil bit of baby oil in my hair before i shampoo and ever since i started doin that my hair are more heavy....these are some of the things that work for me...

Can someone tell me all the little things you can do everyday to make your hair straighter little by little?

use garnier fructis everything! sleek and shine, moose, and all the sprays and stuff and your good to go! just apply while blow drying or brushing

Can someone tell me all the little things you can do everyday to make your hair straighter little by little?

to straighten my hair i wear it in a ponytail ontop of my head b4 i go 2 bed- it automatically straighens

try combing it when its drying- that might help

wash w/ cold water

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

k and now it is really red with a really White bit in the middle which is really sensitive to touch or to bend! What is this and what shall I do?

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Run a flannel under cold water and wrap the flannal around the finger, Keep it there for at least 10 minutes.

I know alot of people say to run your finger under the cold tap for 10 minutes, but this can hurt, so the flannel method is easier.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

20 mins under a cold running tap.... ouch

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

baking soda

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Its a blister and run it under cool water (H20 not the perfume lol) for a while.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Is this a serious question?!

It's a blister!!! Don't run it under the cold tap, despite what people think this doesn't do it any good.

Potato peelings are soothing for a burn like this.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

i know it sounds crazy but my nan always says rub some butter on miner burns it really does help

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

trash the straightners and get your own back

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

It is burnt and now dead skin that has produced a small pocket of liquide under it,,get it under a cold running tap for several minutes to take out the burn,,,,,

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Run it under the cold tap. I dropped mine on my thigh once had a v shape scar for ages lol.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

dont worry its just a blister im really clumsy i burn myself on the straightners all the time i just run a cloth under cold water and wrap it around my finger for a while then put a plaster on it it'l b gone in a week dont worry at least your hair looks good!!

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Congratulations, you are the proud owner of a second degree burn! Running it under cold water will help sooth the pain temporarily. Unfortunately, there's not much else you can do. You could go to the drug store and but burn cream... sometimes that can help with the pain... but it's not necessary. It pretty much has to heal on its own. The blister will probably get bigger in a day or so. Don't pop it, as tempting as it might be.... if you open it up, it could get infection.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

put it under running cold tap for ages

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Don't do the butter! The heat in the burn can cause it to 'fry'.

Hold it under cold running water for ATLEAST 10 minutes.

Failing that, wrap some ice/frozen peas in a clean tea-towel and hold it there for about 1/2 an hour.

On a more personal note: don't burn your finger on the straighteners.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Hi be more carefull when you use them next time, or buy one of those hairdryers that dry and straighten your hair at the same time.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

Blister = cold water and plaster.

You could fake a sickie and say it's an infection???

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

One of the oldest and best methods to help a burn is called Bag Balm. Don't go OOOh uggg. It works! It was used basically for cow udders, but I had 2nd and 3rd degree burns and after they did all the ugly stuff I thought it was ok to go out in the sun and got blisters. So used the Bag Balm in the Green Can it it calmed it and no scar. it is awsome stuff. KEEP it in the medicine cabinet at all times for just this occasion.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

I' be sticking it in some ice, personally. Like a really tall glass of ice water.

If I had to go somewhere, I'd go buy some burn relief gel.

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

get your finger under a cold running tap, the burn is still travelling deeper into your skin.. if you cool your finger it should stop the swelling and stop it burning any further.. the white area is where blood has gathered under you skin, its called a blister, if it pops it will burst fluid.. nothing to worry about.. just keep it clean and let time do the rest

Ok I just burnt my finger on hair straighteners!?

tooth paste will take the burn out of it. I am not kidding.

What is the best product for detangling hair?

I have started straightening my hair with a CHI straightener but have to continually comb it to keep it from tangling? Is there a product that can keep me tangle-free?

What is the best product for detangling hair?

I have really long hair and have always found ThermaSilk Detangler does the trick and its pretty cheap! Good luck!

What is the best product for detangling hair?

Yes there are quite a few products you could use on the market for tangle-free hair. You could try Johnson's "No More Tangles" or a small amount of silicon anti-frizz gel smoothed through all the strands of your hair.

What is the best product for detangling hair?

I have always had long thick hair and I use my sons Johnsons detangler. It has a diffrent name now but its basically no more tangles. You can find it either in the baby aisle or with thekid shampoo. Also Infusim leave in condtitioner works well.

What is the best product for detangling hair?

Tresemme anti brakage detangling spray i have it and i love it X_X閳?lt;3

Does anyone know if the BEDHEAD TIGI hair straighteners work on 240 voltage or not?

IF YES, HOW DO U KNOW?

Does anyone know if the BEDHEAD TIGI hair straighteners work on 240 voltage or not?

It it is rated for 110V, DO NOT plug it into a 240V outlet........the unit will most likely catch fire because the heater element is not designed for that voltage.

If the outlets are installed to Electrical Code standards, you will not be able to plug it in anyway...The prong arrangement prevents this from happening.

A 110V outlet looks like this:

How many different models/types of GHD hair straighteners are there?

I'm looking for a pair but it seems to me that there's only three types available, is this correct?

I assumed there'd be a huge choice! Not having a huge choice is fine by though, just thought I'd check before making any purchases...

How many different models/types of GHD hair straighteners are there?

If you mean colours as well as styles there is six styles -

Thin Plates (Rounded),

Thin Plates (Square),

Paddle Plates,

Purple Thin Plates (Rounded),

Baby Pink Breast Cancer (Version One Rounded),

Hot Pink Breast Cancer (Version Two Rounded).

There may be more but they are the ones I have saw/heard of.

How many different models/types of GHD hair straighteners are there?

yeah pretty sure it's just 3 i have the small thin one's and the big paddle one.

How many different models/types of GHD hair straighteners are there?

I'm not sure, I have heard of 3!

- The normal ones

- The Mini ones

- The new ones which straighten and curl

Get any - they're all great!! I can't live without mine - they're well worth the money!!!!!!

How many different models/types of GHD hair straighteners are there?

I know loads of people (including myself) whos GHDs have either blown up or stopped working. They're quite expensive and there's different makes which get hotter and are better than GHDs ;)

Look around for different types :)

Who will carry out repairs to ghd hair straighteners?

god your silly, ghd of course!!!!!!!or dont break them in the first place!!!!!

Who will carry out repairs to ghd hair straighteners?

It'd be easier to get some new ones and cheaper I suspect

Who will carry out repairs to ghd hair straighteners?

i dunno.

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

Can you give me the price, and where i can buy it. Im clueless.

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

I saw that the person before me answered CHI and that is a great straightening iron however be prepared to shell out $100 or more for this. In the meantime there are a few things that you can do on your own to help the process and then use just a regular priced straightner (about $20) to finish the job.

First remember when you are shampooing you only want to shampoo your scalp, this eliminates your ends from drying out which they definitely do when a heat straightner is used regularly. Next make sure that when you are conditioning your hair then you only want to condition about two inches away from your scalp to the hair ends. You don't need to condition your scalp because this is the most oily area and it also weighs your hair down.

Wrap hair up in a towel and let it sit for a bit (or for as long as time will allow). Before you blow dry your hair you will want to add any straightening products that you buy. My personal favorite is by a hair company called Rusk, they have a few that you can choose from and you will probably spend about $20-25. Let me add that before you add any product make sure to read the instructions and follow them but most importantly make sure that you have towel tried as much of the moisture out as possible.

You also should look into purchasing a boar bristle brush. This is the best for straightening hair and it helps produce a natural shine.

After your hair is towel dried and the product is in you want to concentrate on the roots only and start drying that part first. The ends of your hair will dry out quicker than the roots will. Once your hair is 75% dry you will want to put your hair up in a clip and starting with a section at the nape of your neck you will want to dry each section at a time by pulling straight with the round brush (no pun intended) and pointing your hair dryer in the same direction as your hair grows... down. This will help eliminate flyaways. When you are done you should only have to run a heat straightner through your hair if you think it needs it.

The is the cheapest way to straighten your hair and protect it at the same time. Also keep in mind to only wash your hair every 2-3 days so that you do not damage your hair.

Hope this helped

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

CHI. Got mine at jcpenney's hair salon on sale for like 85 bucks.

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

chi!

you can get it online

or a salon

its very good

im getting one for my birthday

but 100- 150 $

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

if you have the money = chi. if not get the revlon one at target= like 20, it works really well i used to have it until i got the chi. but make sure you get a ceramic kind!! notttt metal. metal will damage ur hair more and the ceramic kind straightens ur hair a lot better

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

well currently the best straightner out right now is the Chi which ranges about 100 to 200 dollars but if you go to Sally's beauty Store you can get it for only 60 bucks. Another one that is really good is the ones revolon makes. If you got to Sally's Beauty Store then you will find a wide range of straightners! GOOD LUCK!!

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

I like the MaxiGlide. I got it at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $80.

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

GHD works wonders get them cheaper than usual on ebay! you can even get it in pink too!

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

If your hair is really curly and you want it to be straight all the time, you could do a reverse perm. I would recommend having this done by a stylist. You can do it at home but you run the risk of frying your hair.

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

Chi!

Not sure on the price, sorry!

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

i just bought one not to long ago go to walmart and get the wet to strait. its only like $20.00!!

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

I bought mine about a year ago, and I did some internet research first and talked to someone at a salon. I found out that it is good to get a Tourmaline ceramic flat iron, and I ended up getting a Solia flat iron. I don't know which stores you can purchase them at, but I got mine on this site:

http://www.folica.com/Solia_Flat_359_1.h...

edit: I forgot to add that I have purchased two cheaper straighteners for a lot less in the past, but none of them gave me the straight, silky, shiny hair that the Solia one did. So if you have extreme curly hair, then shelling out a little more money may benefit your hair in the end.

Does anyone know of any good hair straighteners that ACTUALLY work?

my hair straightener was about 40 dollars

[i bought it from a beauty supply store]

and pretty much works as well as my sisters which

the first one is good the company because its wet to dry so you dont have to dry your hair before you straight it so that good if you take shower in morning and dont have lots of time

the second good to its conair but sometimes i dont like their products its its a thin one and those are good if you have short hair but if you have long hair i recoomed the wider ones cuz you have more hair and you wanted to straight you hair asap so you do less damage

the 3rd one look just like the 1st just wider so yea

tips like i said get one wider if you have long hair and get one that have different heat setting and i reccommed get one that wet and dry that way you the the wet o dry in case you going in a hurry and dont have time to dry your hair because if you buy the regular one you can straight wet hair because you really really damaged your hair...and

dont become so starighter obsessed you can really damage your hair i do my once in a while and dont staight with too much heat

hope this helps and i need to get a new one 2!!

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

I have the 2nd one, its not that great, and I wouldnt reccommend a wet to straight straightener, so I would say the last one.

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

These ones dont seem to be able to do the job very we'll.

go to this website;http://maddoxtrading.com/index.asp?PageA...

its about $40 which doesn't seem to expensive.

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

Remington

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

None of them....... I use this one

http://www.kohls.com/products/product_pa...

and I LOVE it........ it does the job SO well and it heats up SO fast (which is nice since i'm always in a rush)..... there are three heat setttings which is nice....... and the plates never fry my hair which a lot of those cheaper ones will do.....

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

i would say out of those three, the second one, but if your willing to spend a little more, go to a hair salon and ask what straighteners they have- there's this brand CHI and their skinny straightener works fabulously

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

The last one.

Simply because it only takes 30 sec. to heat up.

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

nope! they suck

this is one of the best straighteners ever

http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1650/345...

JUST TO ADD ON TO THE PERSON BELOW ME CHI SUCKS IT BREAKS EASILY I HAD ONE FOR A COUPLE MONTHS AND IT BROKE AND THEY ARE REALLY EXPENSIVE!!!

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

terrible!!! try a CHI straightener they work the best

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

i sugest the first one, because its more powerful. i have the second one on the list, and because my hair is kinda thick, it doesnt work to well...i dont really like the conair ones...i think it would be good if you have thinner hair because you dont end up over heating it

- good luck

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

I've had the first two and they don't work that well. They dried my hair and left it poofy. Also the wet to straight thing just sent up steam that burnt me and then left my hair damp and hot. The last one I haven't tried. Perhaps you can invest some more money and get a better one. I bought a chi for $80 on amazon.com. I know thats a lot but I don't know how much money you or your parents are willing to spend or what your hair type is. Maybe someone else has tried the third one.

Do you think theese are good hair straighteners???

i have no idea, i never straighten my hair. did you know you spelled these wrong...?

Anyone want 10 points for best answer on hair?

What hair protectant creams can I use that are:

-sold at Target.

-can be used on dry hair.

-and really works well?

Also,where do they sell:

-Simply Stylin Hair cream

-Revlon Ceramic Straightener

-Citre Shine Anti Frizz Serum

-Loreal Paris Studio line hot straight heat activated straightening cream?

Anyone want 10 points for best answer on hair?

All those 4 products you listed are sold at Target or walmart. You can buy shine serum from target. Its about 10-12 dollars. Good luck!

Anyone want 10 points for best answer on hair?

at Target, they have several things that you can use in dry hair that'll really help get/keep your hair healthy!

some of my faves are:

1. Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Creme

2. (for more conditioning) CitreShine Shine Miracle Polisher (this one's not a cream, it's like a really thick 'oil' BUT a little while after you put it on - if you didn't put in too much - it'll be completely dry)... AND it really does make your hair really shiny!

3. at some Targets, they're starting to sell Bed Head products and i use daily their Ego Boost: this one goes on while hair is still damp, but it really conditions your hair and helps to prevent split ends -- i use this when my hair's damp and then use either the Frizz-Ease Creme or the CitreShine polisher

i do A LOT to my hair (i get perms AND blowdry daily) and with these products, i still always get compliments on how healthy my hair looks! best of luck!

What is the best make of hair straighteners?

CHI.

What is the best make of hair straighteners?

You should check out cream of natural you will like it and you will buy all of the products for the hair.

What is the best make of hair straighteners?

I have a Paul Mitchell straightening iron, it kicks butt. eliminates frizz and leaves hair straight and shiny.

What is the best make of hair straighteners?

Chi has the best straightening products, but it is very expensive. Straightening tools cost anywhere from $79 to $400.

You are probably better off buying one from Conair with ceramic plates.

What is the best make of hair straighteners?

chi!!!!

wow so nice!!!

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

How can I straighten it without frying my hair with my metal straightener??

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

Use heavy shampoo and conditioner. Biolage is a good one. Then while your hair is wet, blow dry downward while brushing it out. Natural bristles only!! Plastic or metal will tear up your hair while it's wet. Good luck! Email me if you want more tips.

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

get the ceramic one

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

cermiac r w/e r get it dont perfessionally

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

Live with it curly,

I have straight hair and trust me

It's overrated.

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

get a babyliss straightener, it works great, they are expensive but worth it

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

Use a ceramic flat iron and make sure you use a product to protect your hair from the heat. KMS has a whole line called flat out. a shampoo, cond., and an awesome spray to spray as you use the flat iron. Goldwell has a product called flat marvel that works good too. it protects the hair but doesn't make it feel greasy or flaky. good luck

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

Oh my goodness - mine is impossible to curl. Maybe we could just trade and save us both some time.

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

you could always get it done professionally but that is very expensive! I would reccomend the CHI ceramic straighteners. They are the best on the market and what professional salons use. They run around $120, and I hear that with this straigtener it lasts all day. You could also try getting a at home perm kit and instead of putting the rollers in with the solution brush the solution through your hair, thus making it straight, blow drying and styling with a round brush will still be required. Good luck! I feel ya pain!

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

IIGHT HERE... a CHI one or go to a beauty salon and get a relaxer OR get one ina box cheap shoo it workss.

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

Straightening Irons to Try:

1. CHI (ceramic)

2. Babybliss Pro (ceramic) comes with a 55month warranty!

3. Hot Tools %26amp; Belson Mega Hot (titanium %26amp; tourmaline %26amp; a lil cheaper)

Make sure you are using a moisturizing shampoo %26amp; conditioner

1. Biolage

2. Paul Mitchell

3. Sexy Hair Concepts

4. Sleek.Look by Matrix

If you're afraid of frying your hair, use a natural bristle brush while blow drying. Use a protective styling product like Silky Frizz Elimminator or Super Skinny Serum (You can use both wet %26amp; dry), also Sleek.Look Iron Smoother. Put the dryer on medium with an ionic setting if it has one. That way you are not over heating.

Do not use an at home kit! This will only do MORE damage!

If you want it chemically straightened see your stylist. You don't want to have to chop all your hair off.

It is recommended that you only shampoo %26amp; condition every other day to keep the natural oils that keep your hair healthy in your hair. If you begin doing that, it's even less harsh on your hair with 1/2 the straightening work.

My hair is impossible to straighten!!?

Not it's not imposible... Follow this tips and you'll be rocking the world...

1. Conditioner for oily hair

I have naturally oily, straight hair and I used a shampoo with conditioner and then applied a leave-in conditoner to prevent static. It worked! I used mousse and a bit of hair spray and was static-free almost all day.

2. static....

i get static hair all the time...for short releif of it, use a dryer sheet. i dont know what it is that helps but it does! don't use it for very long though.

3. Moisturizer for hair Rebecca Featherston

Several years ago I was introduced to SEBASTION Potion #9. This is a leave in hair moisturizer, not a conditioner. It's used in place of, after you shampoo. Use it regularly throughout the winter months and you will notice a difference!

4. Winter hair rejuvination Rebecca

Get your hairstylist to color your hair with REDKIN SHADES...this is a conditioning, non-peroxide color wash, you can brighten your hair color by using the shades and mixing with clear to tone down to an acceptable level for your taste. This is a great treatment for the wintertime, it brightens your hair, and deep conditions it at the same time. You'll be hooked after one treatment!

5. Fly Away Hair

If you are having trouble with fly away hair try this. Rinse hair, after shampooing, every now and then with a good liquid clothes conditioner. It greatly cuts down the static in your hair.

6. Surefire Success

Keep your hat on till spring, maybe early summer.

7. To Fight Static...

I have super long (3 1/2 ft. from crown to tips), super thin, super straight hair and static in the winter is a nightmare for me. I have learned 3 good ways of combating it however. #1 Keep a trial size bottle of a leave in spray conditioner with you at all times (you can buy these in drug stores for pennies). #2 Run a dryer sheet over your hair. #3 Spray something like Static Guard over your hair (this may stink but it's effective).

8. Smooth Hair

My stylist told me that when you rinse out your conditioner, you should use colder water. When you look at a piece of hair under a microscope, it looks like the shingles of a roof. When you use colder water to rinse out your conditioner, it closes those "shingles" and makes your hair smoother.

9. Better hair

Before showering, I comb my hair one last time. This helps to distribute the natural oils in your hair. When in the shower, I usually comb my conditioner into my hair paying special attention to the tips because this is where your hair has less moisture. When I'm done I usually blast cold water onto my hair. This helps with keeping the hair moisturized since it closes the hair shaft and it makes your hair extremely shiny.

Whats the best shampoo for my type of hair?

I'm looking for a good shampoo! My hair is really thick and I am having trouble finding a shampoo that dosn't dry my hair out or make really greasy feeling. Every time I switch shampoo is does one or the other after a few days. I also use a hair dryer and a straightener or curling iron everyday. I have been told that I should not wash my hair everyday but that is not an option because it will get really greasy looking! Any suggestions??

Whats the best shampoo for my type of hair?

Hey Laura,

I have the SAME exact hair type....thick and greasy....are you Italian too??? Heehee!

I LOVE and use daily the Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo...cheap and it WORKS!! It comes in a clear bottle. For a conditioner, I trust Neutrogena Clean Replenishing Conditioner...both together has worked wonders for me. Neither is too drying nor do they make my hair greasy. Just watch the amount of conditioner you use...if I personally end up using toooo much, it does affect my hair when I'm styling it. Washing my hair every other day isn't an option either....although I haven't washed it since Thursday night and my husband is grossed out at my oily mess!!

Whats the best shampoo for my type of hair?

Had the same problem as you not too long ago. I now use natural fruit shampoos they really seem to do the trick. If theese do not work it could be your age (i don't know how old you are?) and down to your hormones.

It could also be down to your diet.

If not then in boots or superdrug shops like that they sell a cheapish spray that once sprayed on your head removes all look of greasyness.

Whats the best shampoo for my type of hair?

I have really thick, natural curl/wavy hair and I use a variety of different shampoos because after using one for a while it starts to make my hair either greasy or frizzy or just blah! I will use Dove, Herbal Essence and Garnier *spell check* and I just trade off after I finish one bottle I will buy a different brand.

Whats the best shampoo for my type of hair?

use the tea tree products by paul mitchell.

k well i went to the states yesterday and i just got a straightener by remington and it was 50 bucks and it has 30 heat settings but the heat is 210鎺砪 it is actually good and everytime i straighten my hair steam comes out so does dat mean its good?. And also my hair is really thick and coarse so when i leave it all open it looks big like since i have thick hair and i really want to leave my hair open and i was hoping that my straightener would make my hair like this http://www.hairresources.com/images/sce/...

I don't know of that particular brand, but try www.salonlines.co.uk, as I know that they have a really good range of different products which are not available in most shops. I've never bought electrical products from them but I have purchased cosmetics, and I've always had a really good experience with them.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

First is first, I'm 13 years old so you'd be surprised to find that I don't talk 'LYK3 D15!' I am mature and I live in this unrealistic soceity of bitches. I'm trying to fit in the best as I can, and first I'm starting with my hair.

I have wavy/frizy hair, because when I was a baby, I literally had shirley temple hair. I have a straightener and I use pantene, but I need directions on to get it STRAIGHHT. Please help, thanks =]

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

I have very curly/frizzy hair.....First you want to start with some type of Silk Serum to take away the frizz...Paul Mitchell is really good....the first thing is to pin your hair up into about 3 or 4 sections....(Depends on thickness) you get a blow dryer with a brush attached.....And blow dry you hair starting with the bottom layer up..After it is all dry you can use a CERAMIC Flat iron to get it to desired straightness. Then you can pull back that straight part into a hair-tie and bring down the next layer of your hair. and do the same thing until all of your hair is the way you would like.... I hope that is helpful. I am 14 and recently started doing my hair this way. I takes a while but comes out looking great. If you have any questions just ask!

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

you can get it chemically or thermally straightened at a salon...i dont know how long it will last and its pretty expensive, but it works

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

haha....that cracked me up. Japanese straightening is expensive, but lasts until your roots start growning in. Other than that, I can't help you, sorry! If all else fails, embrace your waves!

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

i use pantene too. if you have a beauty supply house where you live then you can use a straightening creme or shiner.. it should help keep your hair straight and less frizzy then just straightning it regularly.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

go to beauty salon do relaxer

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

You need to buy a straightening serum to go along with your straightener. I suggest Paul Mitchell; its a little bit expensive but it works! Also, if you are using a straightener with metal plates, you are just frying away your hair causing it to be more frizzy. Try buying a cermaic hair straightener. It won't fry or damage your hair as much. Plus, pantene has a good conditioner but their shampoo isn't healthy for your hair. Try using suave. I know it's cheap but it also works. If you don't want to use sauve, then go buy a salon shampoo for your hair. Good luck.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

use some serum on your hair, plug in the straightner, turn it on and start straightning from the roots down spending less than a minute on each section you are doing

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

From the sounds of it, we have similar hair. Try not washing it every single day, your hair won't be as well "inflated" and will be easier to strighten, and look a lot better.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

ok first you can start with your flat iron okay take your hair moisturizer and put it on you hair or bye some moisturizing hair spray(i perfer moisturizing hair spray) and every strand of hair you are about to flat iron spray the moisterizer then take the flat iron and put it at the top of your (hair) and close the flat iron and pull it to the bottom of your hair and then see what u get if you like it just repeat what you just did. or you can wash it and without drying put it on a wet ponytail then your dangaling hair out of your ponytail flat iron it the way i told u at the top.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

Call ur local salons and they'll know what to do because mine won't come straight or if worst comes to worst ask a friend

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

By the way stop using this kind of shampoo i will give you a name of a shampoo if you colour your hair use elviva because elviva is for coloured hair and if you don't use wellapon with egg and betaine this one is for normal hair and it's the best try it girl trust me.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

i wish i have curly hair. i am asian so my hair is always straight but i hated. anyway, you want an answer. couple of years ago it was popular to get straight hair so i was happy but my hair was not straight and straight like other girls. so i ask their secrets on how they got such straight hair. They told me you need to see a professional who is a professional in doing straight hair. they told me the best place to do them is chinatown hair salon because these hair dressers has the most experience. the cost is about $200. But it's worth it because all you do is wash and go and your hair is pencil staight.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

oh okay well i have the same probablem but mine is really wavy but go to like a deparment store and look for garnie fruties strieght out shampoo and it make it look like yer hair ids natuarlly like hoped i helped

jackie

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

I Suggest GHD hair straighteners ! Best straighteners ever ! They are, however pricey, but well worth it ! Here's thier website:

happy straightening ! xXx

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

Darling, listen for a second...

Just because you talk is mature doesn't QUITE mean that all of you is mature...for example, it's not NECESSARILY mature to try to fit in. Part of being mature is being yourself (yet, being respectful). Learn to love you for who you are.

But to answer your question, you need to stop using Pantene as your first step, if you can. Try to buy some Paul Mitchell Matrix, or better yet, some Biosilk or Aveda products. It's a lot better for your hair.

To get it straight (and believe me, I'm the queen of hair straightening) do this:

1. INVEST IN A CHI. At 13 this might not be easy, because you have parents to adhere to, but if you never convince them of anything, TRY TO GET A CHI flat iron. (I prefer the 2" turbo CHI, but they're all awesome; there's also a new nano CHI that you can get). If you're allowed, get one of ebay, or go to a local beauty supply store, or professional salon and buy one. (tip: if a salon doesn't sell a CHI or FAROUK products, get away from it IMMEDIATELY).

However, if you can't get one you can use a ceramic plate flat iron, or worse case scenario get the CONAIR 1-1/2" curling iron with 20 heat settings and use setting 18 or 20, just use the curling iron like you would a flat iron.

2. Blow dry your hair straight BEFORE straightironing your hair...it helps a lot. AND after you blow dry apply some biosilk or pink oil moisturizer and let it sit on there for about 15-20 minutes THEN straighten with flat or curling iron

3. CONDITION...use leave in conditioner or moisturizer before using any heat...it keeps your hair healthy

4. TRIM your hair at least every 3-4 months depending on how fast grows.

5. Be patient...you can't necessarily straighten it in 15 minutes, so spend time on it.

I NEED HELP ON STRAIGHT HAiR! AHHH!?

I know some of where you're coming from. I never fit into this society either, but I got to the point that I didn't care. I'm me, that's all I can be. Be whatever you are, don't let people around you bring you down.

I was born with curls also. I tried the striaght hair thing for a while, but I can't stand chemicals. My hair is long, and I'm finding that if I keep it long...it straightens out most of the curls. The shorter my hair, the curlier it gets.

It's very refreshing to find someone 13 that actually acts their age, instead of 2 years old. I've seen a lot of people on here use slang when they type. Who the heck can understand that?

Goodluck with your hairstyle.
