Is it okay to straighten hair with product in it?

im a male with fine medium length hair. I use a straightener to help stick up my hair a little in the back. Is it okay to use a few clay products and hair spray before straightening it?

Is it okay to straighten hair with product in it?

yah it should be , but you will get the product burned on to the plates , you can clean them off with warm water and sugar

Is it okay to straighten hair with product in it?

it shouldn't hurt ur hair becuz the product forms a barrier between your hair and any direct heat from the straightener, but it might burn the plates on ur straightener

Is it okay to straighten hair with product in it?

It should be fine as long as you also use a heat protectant.

How can I keep my hair straightened throughout the day?

Each morning I use heat protectant spray and then I straighten my hair thoroughly with a straightener that reaches 400 degrees Fahrenheit (around 200 degrees Celcius). I use Garnier Fructus Sleek and Shine spray after showering so that my hair is not frizzy. After I straighten, I put hairspray all over, even around my roots. However, during the day, my hair just does not stay straight! After a couple of hours, it's gone wavy and somewhat frizzy/tangly again. I just don't know what to do! Can anyone help!? Thanks.

How can I keep my hair straightened throughout the day?

good that ur using heat protectant spray, maybe before use serum instead, after you have straightened your hair use holding spray that will hold it in position and keep it straight for very very long, all day prob =)

How can I keep my hair straightened throughout the day?

Have You ever tryed blowdrying your hair? Also you should'nt use hairspray after straightning because it makes your hair go hard :D

How can I keep my hair straightened throughout the day?

Use a hair relaxer for that a female friend can tell you about.

It is like a reverse perm, they do it in the salons too.

How can I keep my hair straightened throughout the day?

you should hair spray it and when you take a shower use a straighting shampoo!!!!!

How do you make ringlets in your hair using GHD straighteners?

Make sure you have the slimline/skinny ones (as oppose to the wider style ones) so you can curl your hair around them.

If you dont I dont think you can make ringlets.

If you want to make ringlets without ghd,

Start off with damp hair, spritz with hair spray or combe through with mouse

and then take your (damp) hair into 1/2 cm pieces, twirl it around and around until it goes all springy and tries to curl itself into itself,

then wrap a piece of fabric/rag into the curl its creating so it then curls around the rag insted of itself,

then tie it with a pony tail clip, spritz with a little more hair spray or cover with more mouse then go to bed (leave it for 12 plus hours to dry without the aid of the hairdrier.

When you wake up in the morning, let out the hair clips and rags.

This is what worked for me at least.

How do you make ringlets in your hair using GHD straighteners?

you can twirl the hair round your finger then clamp your straightners onto the twirl. thats what i usually do and they seem t last longer than if you used a curling iron :)

How do you make ringlets in your hair using GHD straighteners?

ok work at the end with a ghd. Then twirl diaganally just rolling it up. Try and do the number 8. Go round. But trick diaganlll..try that. At a slant angle

How do you make ringlets in your hair using GHD straighteners?

It's ot only the mini-straighteners that work for ringlets/curls. The new mk4 straghtener is also ideal as it is more rounded. Clamp hair at roots, twist hair around barrel of straighteners whilst slowly pulling through hair from roots to ends. Pull slower for a tighter curl. Use wax or spray to keep them in place.

How do you make ringlets in your hair using GHD straighteners?

You can read how to curl here

What is the best brand of hair straighteners that i could buy from walmart or target for $30 or less

OK look, just get a box of perm. YES, the kind thats used to curl hair . Put that on your hair and brush it straight .

What is the best brand of hair straighteners that i could buy from walmart or target for $30 or less?

..Nothing you can get there will work well. There is one at Sally's Beauty Supply for about $40.00 I know its a bit much, but you get what you pay for. Its a generic brand of a CHI flatiron. I had a CHI and this generic version works just as well, if not better.

What is the best brand of hair straighteners that i could buy from walmart or target for $30 or less?

revlon its around 20 dollars it works good but u cant get really good 1 cost over 100 dollars

What is the best brand of hair straighteners that i could buy from walmart or target for $30 or less?

What is the best brand of hair straighteners that i could buy from walmart or target for $30 or less?

are you black (no offense) or is your natural hair curly? if yes nothing can help.

What is the best brand of hair straighteners that i could buy from walmart or target for $30 or less?

The one i bought i LOVE! It gets really hott. and straightens my thick curly hair very well. My only complaint is that i cant curl the end with it. But i spend about 35 on it at Target.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

My hair comes down to the top of my chest and it has longer layers. It's somewhat wavy, but dries flat if I don't put any products in it. I also have bangs! I usually straighten my hair with my CHI straightener (which is amazing), but when it gets warmer out my hair tends to get flat and frizzy. Plus, I need a change. I really love that 'just got out of bed' look! Does anyone have any tips on getting that look? That messy hair look, that's kind of wavy and big, but still texturized. I want to try it out tonight! Answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! =D

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

well, thats a really hard question because it depends on the type of hair you've got. c, i had exactly the same problem too. wat would really work: when you're just out of the shower, apply some curling lotion to your hair. to make the effect even better and more natural, flip ur head down and ruffle ur hair with ur hands. DO NOT BLOW DRY IT DIRECTLY! however, while ur head is flipped, blow dry coldest temperature (create the windblown effect lol) downwards. jerk your head up quickly...*drum roll*...tadaaa 'just got out of bed'. i agree with you, slick hair without any volume isnt as sexy as a nice curly crop

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

I meant, "Thanks for THE advice!" I don't have poor grammar. Honest. Ha! Report It

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Yeah, TAKE A NAP

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

gel or mouse and mess your hair up flip it or run your fingerrs through it. etc

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Just get hair spray and mess it up

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

try washing it and scrunching it with mousse. then scrunching it while blow drying. or try texturizing creams.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

theres a product called "bed head

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

there is a product i used to use called "bedhead" - it is kindof waxy but not uncomfortable or super stiff. you might want to try that.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

take a nap and then get up :)

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

If you do anything to it, it isn't the "just got out of bed" look.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Take a shower, nap, and then get out of bed? lol. I honestly don't know.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Use a brush and tease the hell out of it, and then use hairspray afterwards.

AND don't use conditioner, it usually takes away the volume.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Get your hair wet and then mess it up.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

lay down on your bed and turn over a couple of times, stand up shake your head a little bit then go!

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Don't brush it when you get out of bed... so it should look like you got out of bed

DUHH!!!!!!!

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Go to bed for a few hours, then get up.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

buy the carmen girls bed head set for 15 pound it worh it trust me gud luck

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

I wash my hair at night and sleep on it without brushing it. Then the next day it has that look, but really cute. my hair is very long and it doesn't tangle. My daughter puts an anti frizz serum in her hair and does the same thing.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Have lots of layers razored into your hair and use texturizing products like molding wax to separate the layers for the "bedhead" look.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

blow dry your hair upside down with your head facing down. apply mousse first then hair spray especially to the underneath blow dry head up there you go

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

I would wash your hair and then apply some kind of gel or hair wax to your hair and when you blow dry it use your fingers. Kinda swirl your hair around your fingers in sections and dry it. It'll give you that wavy messy look! Finish off with a lightweight hairspray.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Ummm...try taking a quick nap and roll around alot or you could wrestle with your dog or have a catfight. Then spray hairspray all over your head.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Take some gel (not herbal essences) something that will hold well.

Rub it in your palms and pass your hands through your hair.

Now just ramphle your hair with your hands. (a towel works better)Not a moist towel... you might rub out the gel.

Mouse is not prefered for this technique.

Does anyone know how to make hair have that 'just got out of bed' look?

Right out of the shower, towel dry and put gel, mousse, and a ton of hair spray in your hair. Sprunch it up, mess it up, you can let it air dry or use a blow dryer (works better). I use aussie products. I have the same layered style hair but it falls just past my lower back. If you don't want to have a bunch of product in your hair just add voluming mousse and blow dry lifting at the roots. Make sure you use a palmade to tame down some areas of your locks to give it some texture (so you don't look like tarzan jane :).)

URGENT ANSWER REQUIRED!!! Can you put hair straighteners %26amp; dryer in you hand luggage on a thomas cook flight?

It will have to go in your main luggage, and don't forget the foreign plug adaptor, depending on what country you are going to.

No, it has to go in your hold luggage, and when you check your case in tell them it's in there!!

ONLY IN YOUR SUITCASE! I di it during the summer.

URGENT ANSWER REQUIRED!!! Can you put hair straighteners %26amp; dryer in you hand luggage on a thomas cook flight?

I'm assuming the straighteners are electrical? If so, there is no reason why they can't be carried in your hand luggage, so long as the bag dimensions are within the airport security's guidelines. Check the policy of the airport security for the airport you are flying out of, either by contacting the airport direct or on-line at: www.dft.gov.uk. Enjoy your hols.

URGENT ANSWER REQUIRED!!! Can you put hair straighteners %26amp; dryer in you hand luggage on a thomas cook flight?

yes you can it is liquids and sharp instruments that are not allowed there is no reason at all why you cannot carry the items in hand luggage but I cannot see why you should want to carry on such items

and all the answers what say you cannot do not have a clue

URGENT ANSWER REQUIRED!!! Can you put hair straighteners %26amp; dryer in you hand luggage on a thomas cook flight?

I think as long as you take them out of your hand luggage as you go through security, so they can see what they actually are, it shouldn't be a problem.

I recently flew out to Cyprus, on Thomas Cook, carrying a car battery charger!! I didn't have any luggage, only hand luggage! So, I wrapped it in clear plastic, so that it could be seen clearly, but I also put a label on it just in case it was put in the hold....but there didn't seem to be a problem, they barely even looked at it.

Might depend on where you're flying from, and how strict their security is!! We were flying out of Birmingham airport. You could always ring airport information...they're usually quite helpful

URGENT ANSWER REQUIRED!!! Can you put hair straighteners %26amp; dryer in you hand luggage on a thomas cook flight?

No no no no

put them in your case

URGENT ANSWER REQUIRED!!! Can you put hair straighteners %26amp; dryer in you hand luggage on a thomas cook flight?

What can i do to keep my hair from getting oily?

I use a product by Grund called Cleanse. I have horribly oily hair and skin (doesn't help that I'm a Massage therapist either) and it really has helped me control the oil. As for my skin, I found that bare minerals has helped control the oil on my face by 90%. My acne is less and my roseacea has cleared up a bit.

Good luck

Can anyone please recommend any good hair straighteners and the price if possible? thanks?

GHD's are like the god of straightening but they are V. expensive!! I suggest a pair of Remingtons, they are as good as GHD's but without the hefty price! You can find a good pair for about 閳?0. If thats still too much you can get cheap BaByliss ones for about 15/20 although they're not great

Can anyone please recommend any good hair straighteners and the price if possible? thanks?

GHD's are good but i think only for people with thick or overly curly hair. My hair is thin and it fries the hell out of my hair. Im a stylist and i think i've tested them all. Hai is good id ont know if they sell it in England. Here its 140 dollars for the digistick which is my favorite.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

Please look at my other questions about hair straightening and see if you can help. But most answers have said that my hair is being damaged and if a good conditioner would help please tell me what ones you suggest I use. I'm getting really stressed out and worrried that I've damaged my hair!!

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

Hi Hannah

I have used straighteners for 3 years+ and according to my hairdresser my hair is in good condition.

Heres what I do:

Condition my hair every time I wash. I use Kerastase shampoo and conditioner.

When straightening (and this is really important!) run the straighteners through the hair quickly and repeatedly, do not hold them on the hair in one place.

Using a hot style constructor can help.

Put the hairdryer on a cool setting and blast through the hair at the end of the styling.

Get hair trimmed regularly so split ends don't have a chance.

I use GHD's. Check out their website for tips.

If your hair is damaged, you may need to have it cut. You didn't mention if you bleach or dye your hair. This may have an impact on the condition.

Wee pet, don't worry, a good hairdresser should be able to sort things out for you.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

cut it and stop using the straighteners.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

go get like an inch of your hair cut off to get rid of any split ends, then use pantene conditioner for damaged hair. When applying it let it sit in your hair for 3-5 minuites. Put extra at the ends.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

I've had exactly the same problem - try using Charles Worthington Moisture-Seal (in square yellow bottle), it's fantastic and not too strong (i.e. will soften and heal your hair without grease)

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

Get an inch or 2 cut off to get rid of fried ends and then use Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Deep Conditionar. It can cure up to 2 yrs of damage in just a month.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

you really need to get your hair cut and stop using the straightners as much give your hair a chance no amount of conditioner will repair your damaged hair

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

I use ghd straigheners every day and had my hair cut last week, my hairdresser told me that the underneath was so damaged by them that he had to cut it shorter than the rest of my hair just to get all the split/damaged ends off, conditioner isnt going to help, have to get all the damaged bits cut off and stop using them or dramatically cut down %26amp; always use a good protector, the one by Toni %26amp; Guy is good but won't stop the damage!

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

try using heat protecting syrum before you use the straighteners.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

first off get a hair cut because if you don't then the split ends will move further up your hair, damaging it even more and then you'll have to cut of even more. Secondly try a special conditioner such as frizz-ease's straightening one which is designed specifically for use with hair straighteners so it will protct your hair. Also use a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week. If you can stay off the hair straighteners for a while too just to let your hair recover.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

1. Get to the hairdresser %26amp; get your ends cut and an intensive contioning treatment

2. when straightening your hair in future use a heat protection spray (toni %26amp; guys is fab!)

3. Use an intesive moisturising conditioner on your hair once/twice a week (I use Nicky Clarke, and V05 hot oil treatments)

4. Dont brush your hair too hard!

5. Use a strenghtening shampoo %26amp; conditioner, fructis do a fab one! i think its called Strength and Shine

6. think of your hair like you do your skin, if your skin was cracked and really dry, you wouldnt leave it like that and carry on would you?! Look after your hair and straightening shouldnt be a problem, i've been straighetneing mine for about 4 years now and my hair is always gloss and super straight purely because i look after it!

Dont stress out, treat it to a big fat pile of intensive conditioner and maybe give up the straightening for a day or two (sorry! have it tousled or something, scrunch some mouse in your hair twist your hair up in a bun, let it dry naturally, after about an hour or two take it out run your fingers through it spritz lightly with hairspray and ta-dah! beautiful tousled hair)

Better to have a few bad hair days than have your hair fall out!!

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

superdrug do good hair conditioning treatments and herbal essences have good conditioners look out for one that says for dry damaged hair and ones for damaged hair by straighteners you should always use a heat protective spray kertase (i don't know how to spell it) have this thing for people addicted to using straighteners etc. why don't you get you hair permanently straightened that way you aren't getting it done every day.

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

I find the best thing for heat or colour damaged hair is something called the Australian 3-minute Restorative Conditioner. It comes in a big bottle or little sachets for single use. Try a sachet first - wash your hair as normal and use this as a conditioner. It says to leave for 3 minutes and then rinse. I usually leave it on for about 5-6 minutes. It really works wonders!! (Boots, Superdrug and Sainsburys usually sell it.)

So I think my hair is damaged from straighteners, what conditioner is the best to use?????????

Straightening Addict Conditioner from the Trevor Sorbie range.

What is good for straighteneing your hair apart from straighteners & hairdryers?

you can get a chemical put in it to keep it straightened semi-permenantly. I don't think it's very good for your hair though!

A good brand of straightners would be the best option to be honest.

:)

What is good for straighteneing your hair apart from straighteners %26amp; hairdryers?

my cousin gets her brother to straightend hers with the iron..she holds her head next to the ironing board and he irons her hair...i swear..i pissed meslef wen i saw em doin it...nutters

What is good for straighteneing your hair apart from straighteners %26amp; hairdryers?

honestly, i use this shampoo and conditioner from cost cutters. i have naturally wavy hair, and it dries pretty straight. it's not perfect, like it would be with a flat iron, but it's pretty good. no frizz, and MUCH straighter. I just let it air dry, and it looks fine all day.

What is good for straighteneing your hair apart from straighteners %26amp; hairdryers?

an iron, quick and easy, you can cover your hair with a tea towel and use steam, works a treat.

What is good for straighteneing your hair apart from straighteners %26amp; hairdryers?

you should use special shampoos %26amp; conditioners to get your hair smooth %26amp; flowing. that makes them "hang down" and automatically straightens them (:

What is good for straighteneing your hair apart from straighteners %26amp; hairdryers?

try some good shampoos and conditioners, i use them aswell as straighteners to protect my hair because it's just about the only way my hair will stay straight :P, you could try chemical straightening, but as has been said i don't think it's that great for your hair.

What is good for straighteneing your hair apart from straighteners %26amp; hairdryers?

whilst your hair is drying brush your hair slowly and gently untill dry i do sometimes and it makes my hair go quite straight but still with volume x

Have you ever used Genie Ceramic hair straighteners?

Is there a way to straighten hair without hair gel or iron(includes hair straighteners)?

Actually, for a longer lasting solution to get straight hair, you could try a straight perm. Its similar to a regular perm for body or curls, except it is combed through the hair. Walgreen sells straight perm kits for about $30. I've done this once and I loved the results. Salons also offer this service.

Is there a way to straighten hair without hair gel or iron(includes hair straighteners)?

when u dry it with a hair dryer blow it straight with a brush

also helps when u use straighening shampoo and conditioners first.

i straighten my hair with a ceramic straightener every other day or so but the bottom part of my hair is very dry and frizzy but the tops near my roots and my side bangs are like very flat and weighed down. i want some volume up there but not to be greasy or frizzy. what can i do?

My hair is so weird! help please?

Try using conditioner only on your end.Your hair produces natural oil and the oil hits the ends last leaving them less moisture causing frizz and dryness.

My hair is so weird! help please?

if your going to straighten your hair you should try the flat iron/blow dry protection cream called "got 2b crazy sleek" I use herbal essences totally twisted gel and moose to make my hair have volume and curls, but you sound like you prefer strait hair, so you could try that bed head stuff that is in a pink bottle with a round pink lid that makes your hair smooth and not frizzy when you blow dry it.

I hope this helps alittle

Hair stylists help me - scene hair - desperate..basically?

alright, everyone knows what that asian-ish scene hair style is, the only thing that seems to be impossible is to even get your hair that straight. i have straight -kinda wavy hair, a decent ceramic straightener, and probably wax from every brand.

how do you get your hair so damn straight?

what do you do to get it so perfect?

if you dont know what scene hair is =

http://scene-hair.skyblog.com/26.html

Hair stylists help me - scene hair - desperate..basically?

First apply a light weight product ex: Logics shaping mousse, dry your hair with a paddle brush or a round brush. ALWAYS keep the blowdryer angled in the direction you want the hair tol lay (if you want it to be smooth %26amp; straight keep it angled down) If you just blow the hair straight on thats when you get frizz. After its dry, take small sections with a flat iron (don't turn your wrist like with a curling iron) In my opinion a professional flat iron like CHI work the best. After its straight, use a gloss%26amp; paste (logics shine serum %26amp; redken's rough paste) mix the products together in your hands, start to work it in at the ends first!!! then at the roots, to get the seperation %26amp; height in the crown use the palm of your hand and rub in a circle several times then smooth into place with your fingers

Hair stylists help me - scene hair - desperate..basically?

okay well what knd of straightner do you have? and is it the skinny one or the wide one if you hair is as short as the scene pictures youll need the skiny one and before you straighten it youll need to put a texturizer and hairspray in it before you straightn it and it will get straight. also when you straightning pull all your hair up and start at the nape of your neck and pull out of the ponytail an inch of hair by sections putting texturizer, hairspray, and then brushing thru to distribute and then straighten the section you have pulled if you do it like this your hair will be very straight.

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

And for them STILL to work even after a month?? Unless I am forgetting to switch them off before I leave for work but usually I am good at checking. I am completely baffled as to why I have gotton through 3 straighteners since last Nov !!

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

No, I straighten my hair everyday for at least 5-10 minutes and I've had mine for at least 6 months now. My sister has had her's for at least a year now and it still works great. Her's is a Revlon. I can't think what brand mine is at the moment....Conair maybe. I also use mine everyday at the highest setting and it still works fine. What brand do you buy?

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

Unless you have a professional iron no it must be turned off.

Put it on a timer so it won't overheat.

Good Luck

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

I dont think you should go thru that many, i use my straightener every 2 days for like a 1/2 hour then every morning to fix it up for 10 mins at most, and my straightener has been going good %26amp; working for the last year! maybe it is the type of straightener your are buying? i got my for $50 at walmart %26amp; it works perfect %26amp; even if it does burn out it has a lifetime warranty

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

i would say splurge and get a really good one that way if you leave it on it will not over heat then all you have to worry about is your house burning down

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

I have had the same straightener for like more than a year and it still works fine..maybe your trippin'

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

if you have frizzy hair you don't need to staighten it so frequently because you can burn your hair.

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

Wow! I have my straightener plugged in for maybe 15 minutes every day, and I've had it since the beginning of the June 06!

Mine isn't expensive either, I got it from Target, but it works well.

Maybe you have super strong electrical currents!

Try using a different plug, possibly?

Me again! Is it reasonable to expect to use your hair straighteners for at least 10 mins a day?

yeah. i have had mine for almost 2 years and I never turn it off. try Revlon brand. it works really well. they are about 17 dollars at Target, and THEY LAST!

Whats so special about Ghd hair straighteners?

i had exactly the same thoughts, smuggly using my far cheaper ceramic straighteners, until i went on holiday with a friend and borrowed hers! They truly are amazing. Because they are hotter and smoother than most other ones, less work is required to straighten your hair and they make your hair silky smooth!

Earlier models did have a slight burning out problem (or just plain old catching on fire!), but the newest model has a cut out timer. Well worth the ridiculous expense!

Whats so special about Ghd hair straighteners?

omg, they r like the best straighteners ever, they are the only ones that truly work and your hair stays beautiful all day. it says it all in the name ghd with them you will always have a good hair day!

Whats so special about Ghd hair straighteners?

they are over-rated! there are much better straighteners around and most people find that GHD's have a lot of technical problems and can burn out easily. i prefer my morphy richards :-)

Whats so special about Ghd hair straighteners?

they get hot in 8 seconds and are the best. i'vre had mine for about 3yrs now.

Whats so special about Ghd hair straighteners?

Well my naturally wavey hair only needs straightening twice-3 times a week after I wash my hair of after it gets wet. They are the best straightners around and they are definiatly worth 鎷?00

Whats so special about Ghd hair straighteners?

its because they get so hot, they make your hair stay straight for ever! lol

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

I live in a humid climate and really want to do the Japanese chemical straightner but it's $700. I can't afford that and was wondering if anyone knew any local with salons less expensive treatments in NYC, DC, GA?

And yes, I know about the flat irons...i already do that but i'm tired of doing it EVERYDAY!

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

I'm not a beautician, but I have been told that you can comb a perm through your hair and it will work and its more mild than using those chemical straighteners, buy a perm that has a before and after conditioner, and I would only leave it on my hair for half the time it says for giving the actual perm.

I would assume you keep combing your hair during the whole process. If unsure about any of this call a beautician, I don't want you to take my advise and ruin your hair. It's just what I was told a long time ago by a friend that is a beautician.

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

yea in cvs theres a chemical strightner dat only costs about $60

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

just go to a local salon they have different hair treatments and they cost differently but its just the fact how much are you going to spend on your hair to look good????

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

$700 is a lot, I would so some salon research

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

Yeah, you can get it done at a salon for less than $!00 (it's just a perm). You can also buy a home perm kit and do it yourself. It's not that hard, nor is it expensive.

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

ok i do the japanaese straighting and it doesnt even come close to 700...i think ur just makin it up...or maybe ur getting jipped...i got the straighting done 3 times...u suld come to bklyn and get it done cause everything in nyc is expensive

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

I think there are some less than a houndred. Go to different salons in malls and ask. You will find it.

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

their are a lot of cheap salons in nyc... look in manhattan.. i went to one and it was cheap.

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

Cheap straighteners have been known to be harmful.

Are there any less expensive hair straighteners?

Hi. I have been telling everyone about this product and I am going to share it with you. I use maxiglide by maxius. It definitely works. You don't have to use any chemicals. check out their website.....http://www.maxiusbeauty.com/

I also use beyond straight for the humidity. Yes it works too. good luck and if you do order it and it doesn't work out for you, you'll get your money back!

What are ceramic plates on hair straighteners?

Ceramic plates retain the most heat evenly and make the cuticle of the hair shaft lay down and feel smooth and appear shiny. They are hands down the best straightener except for solid steel which pressing irons(combs) are made of.

What are ceramic plates on hair straighteners?

they are safer ways to straighten hair.

less harmful to your hair, they dont burn your hair.

usually more expensive.

this is what they do:

-smoothes and tames frizzie hair for long lasting results.

-provide smooth straightning motion with no breaking of hair.

-no pulling or snagging

-help keep the moisture in your hair so your hair doesn't loose its condition

they are just plates on the straightener and you cant even notice. you have to buy a straightener with the ceramic plates you cant just add them.

What are ceramic plates on hair straighteners?

They are ceramic plates that you press your hair between.

It doesn't pull your hair as badly because it is smoother which reduces breakage and and gives off a more even heat which doesn't fry your hair as badly but always use a protectent.

What are ceramic plates on hair straighteners?

Unlike normal plates on hair straigteners they don't damadge your hair.

What are ceramic plates on hair straighteners?

when you straighten your hair, it helps not to damage it as much and gives you a much sleeker, shinier look.

i have a straightener with ceramic plates that cost me $114 and it is quite expensive, but it works AMAZINGLY!

+ if you're wanting to buy a straightener, don't buy the wider ones, they SUCK. buy a thiner one..much better! :]

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

I can curl my hair with my straighteners, but after a couple of hours it just looks messy. What is the best way to curl my hair to get easy, long lasting curls?

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

Sponge rollers or rag rollers like grandmas used to have. Trust me....it won't come out until you wash it. You can get them in packs at any drug store. Wash your hair, wait until almost dry, then roll it in the rollers. You can sleep in either one of them. Leave them in until dry, you can use a hair dryer to speed up the process. When you take them out you'll have super curly bouncy hair.

PS: It also helps to put some kind of styling product on your hair, like mousse or gel before you roll it.

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

use setting lotion on your hair.

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

You are going to need a curling iron. Take a shower, then when it is still damp, put mousse in it. When it is dry, curl your hair. You are probably going to have to use hair spray to get it to stay.

Or you can do the same process, just use sponge curlers instead.

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

Seriously, i have Curly-ish hair and have to straighten it. WHY WOULD YOU WANT CURLY HAIR! It's a curse

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

use curlers and put hairspray on whilst on the curlers

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

Get some old fashioned curlers lol honestly they are great. They last for ages. Dont forget the hair spray!!

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

Coming from a curly-head, this is easy. I've never tried it on a straight-head, buuuuut.... if your hair is curly when you wake up in the morning, brush it a couple of times (don't brush it thoroughly, though) and leave it like so for the rest of the day. You can also put head band in or something to make your hair look pretty!

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

I agree with bridie answer rags or sponge curlers then style in morning with curling hair products

good luck

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

Hair spray, after every curl x

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

hot rollers

How can I curl my hair so that it will last the whole day?

i have 2 answers :P :

buy some rollers and sleep in them they stay in for lyk 10 hours

u cud also tonge your hair on the night time before bed (if you spray with hairspray it stays in beter but you dont have 2) then put a hat on or something like that so you cant see any of your hair then take it out in the morning and its dropped a litte but its still really curly

I have really dry, brittle damaged hair......?

which is also really thick and hard to manage, I have to style it everyday with hair products and straighteners just to get all the kinks out.

My diet is not great at the moment and never drink enough water. Do you think if I changed my diet and drank more water my hair would be more heathly?

Would love some hair styling tips and care too :D

Thanks

I have really dry, brittle damaged hair......?

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

also heres a very good website which could help you out with all hair problems!

http://www.pioneerthinking.com/hair.html

Good luck!!:)

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Hope this helps!

If this doesnt help just contact me and i can give you more tips for your dry hair!

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

I have really dry, brittle damaged hair......?

find a good shampoo. and fix ur diet too. visit the salon and stuff. ask them for advice. they're better than the people in here.

I have really dry, brittle damaged hair......?

it will but with the help of shampoo ans Ur hairdresser... good luck

I have really dry, brittle damaged hair......?

Well of course more water.

Try finding a good leave in conditioner, I personally like "Enjoy" brand. You can get it at salons and it doesn't cost as much as the other brands out there. They also have an Anti-Frizz spray in that brand.

As for styling tips, comb in the leave in conditioner then blow dry straight and you shouldn't have to use a straightener. They just make it harder and harder for you to actually brush your hair.

You can also consider a Vitamin E supplement or Prenatal vitamins. (those make your hair and nails really healthy) But I would sugguest the Vitamin E first.

Hair Problem ?

to get curls with a flat iron, get the hair in small sections, then as you start to straighten twist the hair around as you would a regular curling iron. Just be careful not to press to firmly or you will end up with a crimped look. kinda tap the iron open and closed as you curl the strand of hair. Good Luck, hope this helped!

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

I have REALLY frizzy and dry hair, and oils just make it frizzier. I have a maxius straightener but my hair blows up before 1:00. plz help. I'm desperate.

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

dont wash it so often

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

Read some very effective hair straightening tips and more on this site to help you

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

frizzeze

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

get a ceramic straightner (150$ at sallon) and use VO5 preuse stuff so u wont damage your hair, then get a bunch of garnier fructics stuff, like leave in conditoner that will make your hair lie flat, the tip it off with har spray

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

frizzeaze and a CERAMIC flat iron. i find that regular flat irons leave your hair more sensitive to humidity. though the ceramic iron will not make it flat forever or save you from when you are being doused, your straightened hair will be much more likely to stay straight. it is not super fast and takes practice, but who said like was easy?

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

ok calm down. deep breath. whooo. i can help.

first things first. don't wash your hair for a day or two. you can use water but don't rub it in just make sure the water coats your hair. this will help the oils work in your hair.by letting your hair get dirty (no washing it for a day) will help stop breakage. after you do that. shampoo with a STRAIGHT HAIR SHAMPOO. this will perpare your hair too get straightend. conditoner too.same thing.you can fin these in any store. ther are like 3 bucks. just get that it will help. next after you shampoo your hair rinse and towel dry it. but! softly. don't rub it wildly on your hair. your hair should be trreated like a fine lace.then put in a quarter size amount of frizz control creme in your hair. next tak about 6 hair bands(not rubber bands) and put your hair into sections. take a section a comb/brush,it's were it has the little bristles all around the comb. take that and a section of hair and a blow dryer and blow dry it straight down while combing it straight down. until dry. do this with all the strands. the should only take 15 too 25 minutes (depending on how long your hair is) after that just straighten any part that needs to be straigthend. and you should be done ine 30 to 35 minutes.

hope this helped. sorry it's so confusing! lol! good luck!

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

Ditto on the ceramic straightener. Worth EVERY penny. The good ones work because they get REALLY hot, and won't fry your hair because of the ceramic coating. I have seriously wavy/frizzy hair and it is poker straight after using my ceramic iron.

What is a fast and easy way to staighten hair? HELP ME!!!!!?

Great styling products, and great tools. First get the Rusk brand STR8 Line. They make shampoo/conditioner, and styling products. Then use them. Make sure to get a really good ceramic plate flat iron, preferably with temp gauge. This should help.

How to Straighten Hair

Do the ceramic plates on hair straighteners go bad? Or need to be replaced?

i have had my ghd straighteners for 3 years and they are still good. it might depend on the brand, but i think they should last a good while as long as they don't get too much hair products on them.

Do the ceramic plates on hair straighteners go bad? Or need to be replaced?

i'd say they wear down or if u use serums then they'll prob rust

Do the ceramic plates on hair straighteners go bad? Or need to be replaced?

have never heard of it happening. i have my straightener for a long time now and its working great.

Do the ceramic plates on hair straighteners go bad? Or need to be replaced?

As long as you get a good brand and clean them often, (Rub them with an old rag, make sure it's thick so you don't burn yourself, while they're hot), they should be fine for a good couple of years. My Ghd's have lasted a year and a half so far, and that's with using them daily, and my hairdresser's have lasted 3 years and she uses them on clients all day, every day!

I'm Afro Caribbean with a human hair weave. Not sure how to tame the frizz. Any suggestions?

I always buy the same brand of hair (sensationnel), but find that once I leave the hair dressers my hair gets very tangly and frizzy. I have tried various oil sheen sprays and beeswax, but nothing seems to work. It frizzes within minutes of being combed or brushed. I have also resorted to using a hair dryer and straighteners, to try to control it. Are there any tricks/tips that I should be doing or should I experiement with another brand of hair?

I'm Afro Caribbean with a human hair weave. Not sure how to tame the frizz. Any suggestions?

If it IS human hair (as I think you stated), then it should be conditioned in the same way. I can't see beeswax doing much more than actually causing it to be sticky and tangle more. I've never had hair extensions or such myself, but I do know that it is absolutely essential to use conditioner if you want to stop hair being frizzy or flyaway. If you are using the right conditioner, then it is impossible to overcondition. After washing your hair, towel dry and detangle gently with a wide toothed comb. I would also recommend leave in or heat-activated treatments to add moisture to the ends, and when you brush or comb your hair, run your fingers over/through to smooth the cuticle.

Use human hair instead

I'm Afro Caribbean with a human hair weave. Not sure how to tame the frizz. Any suggestions?

Buy another brand....once its starts really nothing you can do but pull it back in a pony tail

I'm Afro Caribbean with a human hair weave. Not sure how to tame the frizz. Any suggestions?

maybe if u wash it, make sure u towel dry, then use Bio Silk, its a serum to give shine and makes it easy to comb hair, i am half black, and it works like wonders. then if its human hair, use a little mousse on ends to tame frizz..

I'm Afro Caribbean with a human hair weave. Not sure how to tame the frizz. Any suggestions?

Well it sound like maybe you bought some Irish hair lol. I am Irish...you need to use mousse. Put it in while your hair is still damp. Blow dry it straight or leave it in for wavy, concentrate on the ends. If you need volume put it in the roots and blow dry upside down.

You should wet down your hair, wait 10 min. then use a hair drier.

I have very thick hair, have had straighteners, but they don't last? how do i get my hair straight? HELP!!!!!

Perhaps you would like to invest in a permanent straightening session at the salon? I have thick and wavy hair, not too sure if it's like yours. I spent $180 at Magnitude doing a Soft and Straight. My stylist is Ken. He's the director there and he's really good. The effect you get is very, very soft and natural-looking straight hair. The result is permanent for the hair that has been done. But of course, when your hair grows out, you would have to go for a touch-up, which, I do often at a reduced price since it's only a small portion.

Since you have brittle hair, your hair must be pretty dry, this treatment would really benefit you. :)

I have very thick hair, have had straighteners, but they don't last? how do i get my hair straight? HELP!!!!!

Well i know your pain dear as i too have thick hair...VERY THICK HAIR and a natural wave that runs through it. I too have tried the "straightener" thing. Seems the stylists always manage to straighten it, but it takes them an hour to do so. Have you tried using the round brush while drying it? YOu can use this when it is wet and work it with the hair wrapped around the rounded part rolled under it, hair wrapped downward...and constantly blowing hot air on it...takes a long time though. That is one way.

You have a mullet though, that is the problem. Your hair is not going to grow straight if you have layers. I know this for a fact. So my dear you are going to have to suffer through and grow out the layer on top. Yep, well hey if you want a mullet then you aren't going to get the straight hair okay? Mullet and thick STRAIGHT hair...umm..there is no such thing i hate to tell you. If you have seen someone with this style...well i haven't is all i can say. I have seen mullets with thinner hair not THICK. Mullets with permmed frizzy thick hair yes and ewwwwwwwww..don't do that either.

Basically grow out your layers it is the only way to getting any sort of straight hair. TRUST me on this. hey i had to suffer through it too. like i said if you don't want to suffer through it then you simply have to deal with the fact you got a thick mullet okay that isn't going to be straight.

I have very thick hair, have had straighteners, but they don't last? how do i get my hair straight? HELP!!!!!

Let it be curly, wavy, in fact let it be you!...if you cant do the style you want let it naturally be whatever, obviously there's a reason for this! Of course how ever it is @ the moment is probably nice...but if you're really concerned talk to professionals, b/c you don't want your hair to fall out if your putting strain on it!!

Best of Luck, AriP

I have very thick hair, have had straighteners, but they don't last? how do i get my hair straight? HELP!!!!!

turn yourself over to the pros and get real advice instead of probably frying and damaging your hair by do it yourself over the counter products.

How can you make wavy, poofy hair into straight thin hair??

It's a losing battle. Don't fight your hair. Learn how to wear it in a way that looks good without tryihng to change it. You can't make it something it's not, and you'll spend a lot of time and money, and end up looking silly.

How can you make wavy, poofy hair into straight thin hair??

How can you make wavy, poofy hair into straight thin hair??

My daughter has naturally curly frizzy hair and I am a hair stylist and the best and not so expensive product i can tell you about would be infusium 23..there are several kinds she uses the smooth and sleek one. and she blows out her hair and flat irons everyday and her hair is smooth and sleek ....they also have a leave in conditioner that would work for you ...hope this helps

How can you make wavy, poofy hair into straight thin hair??

Try Bumble and bumble shampoo/conditioner and hair products. bumbleandbumble.com They offer great products that will fit your hair. Also flat iron it with a chi iron at night, before u go to bed..this will allow the frizz to go down even more for the next day. Its something about sleeping on it that makes the frizz go away. Good Luck! Oh and dont forget to put a leave-in conditioner before you dry it to straighten it.

How can you make wavy, poofy hair into straight thin hair??

Use Joico Thermal drops and round brush your hair as you blow dry it to keep it from getting super frizzy.....Also use Biolage Extra Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner it works great!

How can you make wavy, poofy hair into straight thin hair??

For god sake, don't put a straightener/relaxer on it unless you are of ethnic decent where your hair is dark, coarse, and extremely curly. If you want it straighter, you could get a perm, but comb through it straight while its processing, instead of putting it in more curls. Otherwise, a flat-iron would be your best bet short-term. If it is super-thick, you may have a hairdresser thin it out, to make it more manageable. There are all kinds of products out there, mousse, gel, pomades, wax, that help tame out-of-control hair. My roommate has about a half dozen products she uses to control her short, curly hair, along with the flat-iron.

Is it hard to keep up with platinum hair?

I have platinum hair, it's fairly healthy, I keep up with it well.

but i was wondering if after a year or two will it start to become really damaged just from daily styling (such as: tying it up, braiding it)

I usually let my hair dry naturally, and only about once a week I will use either a curling iron or straightener.

but my hair is fairly long (about at my chest)

Is it possible to keep up with it really well?

any tips?

Is it hard to keep up with platinum hair?

You will be able to keep it up well by getting regular trims and using a shampoo and conditioner for delicate hair. Redken makes the Extreme line for delicate and damaged hair. Use a thermal protection product before you are going to use your heat stylers, but since you don't use them that often, you should be fine :)

Is it hard to keep up with platinum hair?

Ive been bleaching my hair for several years. Keep up with a good conditioner and continue with what youre doing an you'll be fine. Just keep up on trimming your hair.

I have found Pureology products to be an absolute godsend.

Is it hard to keep up with platinum hair?

I've bleached my hair for years (and plan to again this summer) and it was fine. Just use John Frieda Sheer Blonde or Pantene Pro-V Blonde Expressions shampoo/conditioner/products,or something of that nature, that was made specifically for natural or color-treated blonde hair.

Omg please help i fried my hair?

Ok I put a chemical straightener in my hair and now its fried on the ends....what can i use to make my hair healthy and thick again!!PLEASE HELP ME!!

Omg please help i fried my hair?

You can do a hot oil treatment.

Omg please help i fried my hair?

You can probably see your hairdresser and get it cut, shampoo %26amp; condition every day (you should do that anyway), and use those products to take care of your ends.

Omg please help i fried my hair?

i suggest u first get a hair trim to get rid of those fried ends....the second thing u gotta keep in mind before u buy sumthing to use in ur hair u have to see if its for ur hair type is usually says on the item if not get advice from a hair dresser.....

Omg please help i fried my hair?

my opinion is you need a good trim and then a good deep conditioning treatment. I have had good luck with mayo...don't laugh, smear it all over your hair work it in down to the scalp wrap with plastic wrap, soak a towel in hot water and wring it out and wrap it around your head on top of the plastic wrap, set a timer for 20 minutes. but you still will need a trim also.

Omg please help i fried my hair?

ur pretty much blown. try lots of moisturizers an wait for it to get better

Shops in Aberdeen stocking ghd hair straighteners?

I'm telling you Scots are amongst the world most challenged culture when it comes to hairstyles. I swear, on the whole, the dogs have better hairstyles than most people you see on the street. Most hairstyles are a bizarre combination of 70s Rod Stewart with 80s Annie Lennox - I wait until I return to North America to get a decent haircut.

No offense though. I love Scots. Great people, great country.

Cheers.

How can I get straighter hair?

Is there a somewhat inexpensive way I can get my hair smoother, shinier and straighter with products I can buy @ a drug store or something? I have a straightener but my hair will start to flip in after a few hours. What can I uses to make it stay straight for longer?

How can I get straighter hair?

if you lightly spray the ends with some medium hold hairspray and then comb it gently thrrough, it should help a lot. i do this with my hair and it usually stays that way ALL day. also, Bedhead hair products work extremely well. and try using a really strong conditioner... tresseme and garnier fructis conditioners do the job.

if you REALLY want it straight... then get a japanese hair straightening treatment. it costs up to 300 dollars and lasts for 3 month or more i think, which is no more than you would pay to go to a salon to get highlights or coloring done once a month.

How can I get straighter hair?

Try Tigi Bedhead products they are brilliant for getting your hair super straight

How can I get straighter hair?

Redken - Align Straightening Balm hold of 12 .

Go to a hair salon that sells redken products , and ask for that .. i swear i have extremley curly %26amp; fluffy hair . And it works like a coating for my hair .. it stays straight for up to a week!

you put it in your damp hair , blow dry straight then do a run over with a flat iron . You can put a dab of it in after your done too..

How can I get straighter hair?

You can try the Pantene Extra Straight Line

[Shampoo, Conditioner, Combing Creme]

or

Matrix Sleek Look Line

[More expensive :)]

How can I get straighter hair?

Maybe you should get it chemically straightened. It's a little expensive (around 100 bucks) but it is totally worth it. You don't have to use any products or even a straightner! It's pretty sweet(x

How can I get straighter hair?

First, after you take a shower you let your hair air dry for a couple of minutes, but not 2 long! then with assie hair insurance, the one that helps control friz, (at most drug stores) massage 2-3 pumps into hair. Then, blow dry hair. Next, seperate ur hair into sections to straighten ur hair. Your hair should be straight by now... if not you can also try using a friz-be-gone shampoo or conditioner. Hope it works!

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

My daughter is half white and half black. My mother took her and put a straightener on her hair without my permission. How can I make her hair look pretty? I have curly hair and her dad is black so he has super curly hair. At present, it just sticks straight up if I don't have it in a pony tail....HELP

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

I know she has gorgeous hair!!! Mix children are beutiful, i think the best loking. you can style her hair in alot o different ways, if she has curly hair, just put alittle morturizer on her hair ( Piink) at beauty places, that will help with the sticking up, and it will help her scalp because it will get dry. put her hair in braids ( small ones with beads) let her pick the colors, or with bowrettes at the end of the braids. brush her hair in a french braid and you can also do pigtails. braiding her hair will keep it strong and help it grow better.. ( this is how black ppl's hair have to grow) i would also make sure you brush her hair constantly, this will help control breakage. but single braid willbe approitate for her age. and they are so cute. you can braid her hair in a ponytail at night and in the morning or brush it and let her wear it out. I hope this helped! God bless

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

You need to have a discussion with your mom about boundaries. She shouldn't have used a straightner on a child that young to begin with, much less without permission. Anyway, you didn't mention how long her hair is, so I would say braids, barrettes, headbands until the straightner wears off.

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

Do you know any good braiders? If not most salons charge $15-20 bucks for fabolus kids styles.

Best of luck!

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

i'm mixed and when i was young my hair always sticked up, there is a type of conditioer that you can put into her hair but you have get it from a black peoples salon. And untill she gets older and her hair grows more its going to stick up unless you put gel in it...but no spritz or hard gel, use the brown gel, and never perm her hair cause if you do it will never have the same texture or it wont ever be the same way. i know i was stupid a =nd permed mine recently and if yopu wash her hair it shouldnt still be straight unless yshe damaged it....braids will work also

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

A straightener should never be put on a child that young. That is pretty strong chemicals. I'm sure you have already let your mom know how you feel. I would definitely get it braided, but go to a shop that specializes in it or an african american salon. I'm not saying that white people can't braid, because I can, but your cost will be a lot lower for higher quality braids. They will also have good suggestions for the situations, because I am sure it is not the first time they have seen it. Depending on the area will depend on the price.

Make sure to take things to do and little treats to help her sit still long enough to braid. It shouldn't take too long, but I know how ansy two year olds can be!

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

Just put it in the ponytail!

How can I style my 2 year old's hair?

My friend has this problem with her little girl too.

At the moment, she is letting her hair grow, in hope that the weight of it will make it appear straighter.

In the meantime, she uses a pretty band to push back her hair and a very light gel(applied) just to keep it from sticking out.

I know she is only 2, but a qualified hairdresser may be able to give you some better suggestions and may be able to cut it in a way (like some light layers) that will help it sit.

By the way, she sounds adorable.....

Those bands (elastic) the girls all wear now are so cute and really keep your hair tidy and in place. : )
